Jacksonville Jaguars Odds, Bet Types, and Team History
The Jacksonville Jaguars were one of the surprise teams of the 2022-23 season.
After starting the season 2-6, the Jags won seven of their last nine games to crash the AFC Wild Card Round. There, they made history, erasing a 27-point deficit to beat the Los Angeles Chargers in epic fashion. Jacksonville's unlikely run came to an end in the Divisional Round, where it lost to the eventual-champions in the Kansas City Chiefs.
Free from the Urban Meyer experience, Trevor Lawrence broke out in his sophomore season, throwing for 4,113 yards and 25 touchdowns. He added 291 yards and five touchdowns on the ground. Relatedly, Travis Etienne ran with the starting running back gig, going off for 1,125 rushing yards and five scores.
Now, some bad news: The Jags will be without left tackle Cam Robinson for four games to start the 2023-24 season. Robinson was hit with a PED suspension in late June.
Jacksonville made 13 picks in the 2023 NFL Draft, headlined by tackle Anton Harrison (27th overall). Offensive skill players taken include Brenton Strange (61st) and Tank Bigsby (88th).
Coming off their big season, the Jaguars have a win total over/under set at 9.5. They open the season on Sept. 10 against the rival Colts.
How to Bet on the Jacksonville Jaguars
If you're looking to bet on the Jacksonville Jaguars from a state where sports betting is legal, don't forget to use the BetMGM bonus code to unlock special offers.
Moneyline
Moneyline bets are quite simple -- here's an example:
- Jaguars +650
- Eagles -900
The minus (-) and plus (+) signs distinguish the favorite from the underdog, making Indianapolis the favorite in this scenario. Odds can be understood more clearly if you think in terms of $10 or $100 increments. A wager on the Jaguars odds would mean every $100 wagered wins $650. And it's the opposite for the favorite: Here the Eagles moneyline was set at -900, meaning a $900 wager would profit just $100 since Philly was so heavily favored.
Moneylines are also commonly used when making parlays, which are multiple bets tied into one. Let’s say you bet the Jaguars moneyline and a -2.5 point spread, Jacksonville would need to win by three points or more for that bet to be successful. The risk is greater, but so is the reward with increased odds. Use our Odds Calculator to calculate any bet amount or conversion.

Point Spread
Point spread bets are bets on the margin of victory. Here’s an example:
- Texans +2.5 (+110)
- Jaguars -2.5 (-110)
In this situation, the Texans are 2.5-point underdogs against the Jaguars. If Jacksonville wins the game by 3+ points, a $100 wager on the Jaguars would come with a payout of $90.91. If Houston won the game outright or lost by two points or fewer, the same $100 wager would net $110 plus the original $100 for a total of $210.

Over/Under
Over/under, also called the total, is a wager placed on the combined scoring of a single game. Bookmakers come up with a number and you can either bet the over or — you guessed it — the under. Here’s how it works:
Let's say the Titans play the Jaguars and the over/under is set at 48 points. A wager on the over would require Tennessee and Jacksonville to score 49 total points or more to win. Betting the under is an expectation that the two teams would score 47 or fewer points. It's also possible for the bet to push, which would happen if the game finished with exactly 48 points scored.

Jaguars Props
Player props are wagers on a single player, and they're tied to a single stat found in the box score for a game or even the entire season. These are among the most fun to bet on, especially if you're already playing fantasy football and like the player-specific focus it offers. Here are two examples from below:
- Trevor Lawrence passing yards: 4000.5
- Trevor Lawrence passing TDs: 23.5
Jaguars Futures
Futures are somewhat similar to prop bets in the way that both are monitored over the course of a season. Except most future bets are focused on end of season success. Examples of futures are:
- Jacksonville Jaguars odds to win the AFC South
- Jacksonville Jaguars odds to win the AFC
- Jacksonville Jaguars odds to win the Super Bowl
- Trevor Lawrence's odds to win MVP
