The Jake Paul vs. Andre August fight is actually available at most legal betting states — unlike some of Paul's previous fights.

So if you're in a legal betting state, sportsbooks like FanDuel, DraftKings and BetMGM will all have this fight listed. To get listed by legal sportsbooks, the fight usually has to be santionced, which

What if Sports Betting Isn't Legal in My State?

If there's no online sports betting where you live, fantasy contests like PrizePicks might be a good option.

It's available in 30+ states, including the big ones without sports betting — California, North Carolina, Georgia, Texas.

Here's the full list: AK, AL, AR, AZ, CA, CO, DC, FL, GA, IL, IN, KS, KY, MA, MI, MN, NE, NM, NC, ND, NY, OK, OR, RI, SC, SD, TX, UT, VT, VA, WI, WY.

At PrizePicks, you can make an "entry" with multiple stats from the fight — I took Paul more than 85.5 punches and his fantasy score over 78.5. If it wins, I'll 2x my entry, as $20 would return $60 total (for $40 profit). You can add additional legs to your entry to increase the payout.

And depending on your selection, you can get some money back if only some of the legs hit, albeit at a much smaller payout.

Jake Paul is a massive favorite just a few hours before the fight. At -1000, you'd have to wager $100 to profit $10 (and you'd get your $100 back if he wins). A $100 bet on August would win $580, and your $100 back.

August is the 311th-ranked cruiserweight in the world, per BoxRec. Paul is 158th in the division.

Why Wouldn't the Fight Be Offered by Betting Sites?

Each state's gaming commissions must allow sportsbooks to offer betting action on a particular event. But for something like an NFL spread, it's been approved for years, so there's no questions about whether or not a sportsbook can offer it.

And boxing often falls into a grey area of approval. Boxing matches generally need to be sanctioned by that state or country's boxing governing body, which is why there were no legal betting odds for Logan Paul vs. Floyd Mayweather in June of 2021. The skill level disparity between Mayweather and Paul was too high, so Florida's commission did not approve it.

But even if a fight is sanctioned by one of boxing's many governing bodies, states don't have to allow sportsbooks to offer odds on something. New York for example is always much more restrictive in what it offers than Colorado, especially when it comes to individual players and awards.
