The most anticipated boxing match of 2023 so far is upon us.
YouTube sensation turned boxer Jake Paul is set for his toughest matchup to date against professional boxer Tommy Fury.
The fight is set for around a 5 p.m. ET start time in Saudi Arabia. The main card started at 2 p.m. ET.
Paul is heading into this match as the favorite with -165 odds at BetMGM. He opened at -120. Most of the money is heading in Paul's direction as he currently accounts for 76% of the total handle at BetMGM. He is getting 57% of the bets.
Fury, the younger brother of heavyweight champion Tyson Fury, is currently +150 at BetMGM after opening at +125. He is getting 30% of the tickets and accounts for 19% of the handle.
The rest of the bets are on the tie. The tie is currently +1200 after opening at +800. It is getting a small amount of action with 13% of the bets and 5% of the handle at BetMGM.
This will be Paul's seventh official boxing match but the first professional boxer he will face. Paul is 6-0 with four knockouts. Paul has fought former NBA player Nate Robinson and former UFC fighters Ben Askren, Tryon Woodley (twice) and Anderson Silva.
Fury has started his career on the more traditional boxing route. He is 8-0 with wins over other up-and-coming boxers. He has won two by knockout, two by TKO, three by points and one by unanimous decision.
