Tyson Fury is a sizable favorite in his first heavyweight title defense since defeating Deontay Wilder in consecutive matches.
Fury will meet fellow heavyweight Dillian Whyte on Saturday for his WBC world heavyweight title. The champion is -600 to win the match, according to odds posted at BetMGM. Whyte is a +400 underdog. A draw is a longshot at +2500.
The fight will take place in London at Wembley Stadium.
Fury remains undefeated with a 31-0-1 record. The only fight he didn't win was a controversial split decision against Wilder. He avenged that decision, twice.
His first win over Wilder came in 2020 via TKO. He followed that up with a KO win in 2021. They are the only two losses of Wilder's career.
Whyte is 28-2 in his career with 19 wins via KO and both losses coming the same way. He earned a title shot after getting revenge of his own. After suffering a KO loss to Alexander Povetkin in 2020, he finished him in March of 2021.
Whyte's only other loss came in 2015 to Anthony Joshua. This will be the first title fight of his career.
The fight is expected to include a record-setting purse worth $41 million, which doesn't include pay-per-view sales.
At -600, Fury is a much larger favorite against Whyte than he was Wilder. He was around -225 in the third fight against Wilder. He closed as an underdog in their first matchup.
It's a big couple weeks in the boxing world. Fury headlines the events this week. Next week will have both Katie Taylor vs. Amanda Serrano as well as Shakur Stevenson vs. Oscar Valdez.
Canelo Alvarez is scheduled to fight on May 7 against Dmitry Bivol.
