Web Experience: WSOP wins over DraftKings

  • Category: Web Experience
  • Comparison: WSOP vs. DraftKings
  • Measured: Game Variety, Payout Types

The DraftKings online casino offers a variety of games, including video poker. There’s only one Casino Hold’em title. Minimum bets start at $0.10 and go up to $100. Play with your Cash Balance. (No Demo Play option exists.)

If you’re looking for video poker, you’ll find Game King and Jacks or Better. There are also a few draw play options. Other than that, WSOP.com dominates the world of online poker.

WSOP Poker Game Selection

Access poker games at WSOP through their software client or mobile app. At the top of the screen, you’ll see several categories including ‘Get Started’ and ‘Extra Games’.

Below that, you’ll see five tabs for poker games. Categories include Beginners, Quick Seat, and BLAST tournaments.

READ MORE: Online Poker Strategy

Cash Games

Under the Beginners tab, you’ll see a few Cash Game options. Click More Tables or Quick Seat to choose Game Type, Table, and Stakes. Select All Games to see every table option.

Texas Hold ‘em

Texas Hold’em represents a majority of the tables at WSOP. Cash Game tables under the Beginners tab range from $0.01 - $0.10.

Under Quick Seat, choose Fixed Limit or No Limit tables. Then, select 9-Handed, 6-Handed, or 6 Handed - Random Tables. Stakes range from $0.01/$0.02 up to $2.50/$5.00.

Click ‘Play Now’ to get started. From the All Games tab, click Hold’em. Choose from All games, No limit/Pot limit, or Fixed limit.

Check the small white boxes for Stakes (Micro, Lo, Med, Hi). Select the amount of Players (3-6, 7-10). Highlight all the boxes to see every available table. Stakes range from $0.01/$0.02 up to $200/$400. Play heads-up or at tables of six or nine players.

You’ll also see the table Name, Type, Limit, Stakes, and Players. Check the average pot, players per flop, hands per hour, and wait list. For smaller bankrolls, we recommend lower stakes. Fixed limit tables might also work best.

You’ll get more options though for No limit tables. Practice your skills first and work your way up to higher stakes. Most average pots range from $2.50 to around $15. Those stakes range from $0.05/$0.10 to $1/$2.

Tables with a lower number of players see over 200 hands per hour. Stakes set at $2.50/$5.00 or $5/$10 see average pots over $100. Learn which time slot works best for your bankroll.

Omaha

Under the Omaha category, you’ll find Omaha and Omaha Hi/Lo subcategories. Choose from a variety of Limit and Pot Limit tables.

Lowest stakes start at $0.05/$0.10 with average pots ranging from a few dollars. Highest stakes go up to $200/$400. You’ll want to play at times when tables are full. To get the best options, we recommend playing later at night.

Make sure to check all the white boxes to see all the available tables. Get a sense of how the game works by playing the free version at PlayWSOP.com. (Keep in mind that No Limit is different from Limit/Pot Limit).

Stud

For the Stud category, you’ll get Stud and Stud Hi/Lo tables. Even with all the boxes checked, you may find less than a dozen options.

Tables offer Fixed limits. Stakes may begin at $0.02/$0.04 and go up to $10/$20. This is a great option for poker players who like to chase their cards to the river.

Multi-Table Tournaments

Multi-table tournaments (MTTs) feature as the most popular poker games at WSOP.com. We recommend reading the Multi Table Poker Tournament Rules.

Here are the tournament options:

Regular

Choose from Daily and Weekly options. Buy-ins start at $1 and go up to $500. You’ll get features like Ad-On, Turbo, and Super Turbo. You can also play Short-Handed (6) and Knock-Out tournaments.

You’ll find plenty of No Limit Hold’em tables, but a few Pot Limit Omaha options exist.

Special

Special tournaments range from $10 to $1,000 buy-ins. Prize pools range from $3,000 to $100,000. You may re-enter for a max of six times (or even eight).

Satellites

You’ll also find satellite tournaments. They offer seats to other tournaments, including the $100K Sunday.

You may also enter an All-In Satellite as a rake-free option. In this tournament style, players go all-in via heads-up matches until there’s a winner.

Freerolls

Play at free tournaments known as freerolls. Prize pools may range from $25 to $100. Compete against a few hundred players.

Other Games

BLAST Poker at WSOP.com is a four-handed Texas Hold’em game. It’s a Super-turbo Sit & Go tournament. Prize pools come based on a draw at the start of the game.

Play for anywhere between two and 10,000 times the buy-in of the tournament. Blind structures also get determined by a random multiplier. A BLAST timer starts when play begins. When the timer finishes, remaining players go all-in until there’s a winner.

Check the Probability tables for BLAST poker payouts. You may also choose from Sit & Go tables. These are No Limit Hold’em games. Buy-ins range from $0.25 to $200.

Select from Heads Up, Turbo, or Super Turbo options.
