Chris Raybon: Ma Rainey's Black Bottom has been steamed up from -400 to -670 over the past few weeks, but 91% of Gold Derby editors are in agreement about it, and they've been wrong only once in this category (in 2017, when Suicide Squad upset Star Trek Beyond in a year which the category only had three nominees).
With that being said, OscarMetrics points out that 26-of-38 (68.4%) films with the most nominations have won this award, and nomination leader Mank's odds are good enough to hedge.
