Aaron Rodgers' ruptured Achilles has sent shockwaves through the NFL.

As you likely know, the new Jets quarterback got injured on the fourth play of New York's season opener against the Buffalo Bills, ending his season.

Rodgers' injury also has a big impact on fantasy football players who will now be scrambling to find a new quarterback on the waiver wire heading into Week 2.

While Rodgers wasn't drafted as a top signal-caller this season, he was taken 12th and 13th, respectively, in ESPN and Yahoo leagues, so there are still plenty of teams likely needing a quarterback replacement.

Below are a handful of quarterback options that fantasy football players should consider on the waiver wire for Week 2.

Fantasy Football Quarterback Waiver Wire Pickups

Brock Purdy (available in 44% of Yahoo leagues)

While Purdy isn't available in the majority of leagues, there's still a good enough chance that you should give him your first look (and potentially first waiver wire claim).

Purdy didn't miss a beat in Week 1, throwing for 220 yards and two touchdowns in an easy 30-7 win over the Pittsburgh Steelers.

Jordan Love (68%)

Love had no issues in his first start as Green Bay's franchise quarterback, needing only 15 completions to rack up 245 yards, three touchdowns and, most importantly, zero interceptions against the Chicago Bears.

Throw in the fact that Love was missing top wide receiver Christian Watson in Week 1 and it's easy to be very optimistic about this passing offense moving forward.

Mac Jones (91%)

If you're desperate, New England's Jones is available in nearly every league and is very streamable in Week 2.

Jones popped for 316 yards, three touchdowns and just one interception against what is expected to be a very good Philadelphia Eagles defense.
