Running back Darrell Henderson Jr. (quad) is banged up heading into Week 13 as the Rams are looking to quell a three-game skid against the Jaguars.
Darrell Henderson Jr. Injury Report
Henderson is dealing with a quad strain that could jeopardize his availability this week.
We have next to no information on the severity of the strain, which has held him out of back-to-back practices on Wednesday and Thursday, according to The Athletic's Jourdan Rodrigue. Head coach Sean McVay expressed optimism earlier in the week that Henderson would be healthy enough to play against the Jaguars, though it's difficult to take his word at face value. There remains a strong possibility that the team elects to hold him out of a contest in which the Rams are 13-point favorites.
All eyes will be on the Friday injury report, which could determine whether or not Henderson suits up come Sunday afternoon.
Worry-o-meter: 2 .5 out of 5.
Darrell Henderson Jr.'s Fantasy Outlook
If Active
The Year 3 running back was thrust into the feature role this season after Malcolm Brown signed with the Dolphins and Cam Akers went down in training camp with a torn Achilles. Henderson has been solid all year and is currently RB15 in half PPR on a per-game basis with just three finishes outside of the top 20.
Henderson is coming off of a strong Week 12 performance against the Packers in which he tallied 16 carries for 55 yards and caught four passes for 18 yards and a touchdown. He should be considered a low-end RB1 if he plays in this soft matchup against the Jaguars, who have allowed the 10th-most fantasy points to running backs this year.
There is a risk that even if Henderson is healthy enough to dress, he still ends up on a snap count — especially if the game gets out of hand.
If Inactive
Backup Sony Michel would get the start if Henderson were to sit out of Week 13. Michel saw all but one carry out of the Rams' backfield in Week 3 with Henderson out against the Buccaneers' tough run defense. He tallied 20 attempts for 67 yards and three catches for 12 yards in the contest. He would have low-end RB2 value with Henderson out.
