"Streaming" quarterbacks, defenses and kickers has been a fantasy football strategy I've successfully used for years.
I've parlayed that success into a series of weekly recommendations for the top streaming options at those three positions, as well as tight end, which can be of assistance in a pinch.
The concept behind streaming is that you add someone for a given week based on the matchup, rather than putting the emphasis behind a player's long-term projection.
I’m only highlighting players who are available in at least 40% of Yahoo! leagues. Please refer to my player rankings based on your league settings to see who is the best available player in your league.
Wilson is coming off a solid passing game of 308 yards, three touchdowns and one interception. He also ran for 56 yards against the Commanders.
A lot of that Week 2 production came on a ridiculous Hail Mary touchdown toward the end of Denver's loss to Washington, but he gets a nice Week 3 matchup. The Broncos will likely have to throw at a high rate to keep up with a potent Dolphins offense on the road.
It was nice to see rookie speedster Marvin Mims Jr. more involved in Week 2. Mims went for two catches, 113 yards and a touchdown and should be a downfield threat moving forward for Wilson.
Wilson should also get a boost with WR Jerry Jeudy back in the lineup. Jeudy was fairly quiet in his 2023 debut, but I'd expect his production to go up moving forward as long as he doesn't have any setbacks with his hamstring.
Wilson is my QB16 this week, which is the highest-ranked QB that's available in 40% or more of leagues. It's possible you have a QB who I have ranked higher and is available in your league. Check out my updated rankings to make sure you go after the highest-rated.
Ideally, you have access to Lions TE Sam LaPorta, who's still available in 27% of Yahoo! leagues. He looks like a potential top-10 option moving forward.
If you don't, Henry may be your next best bet as my TE11 to start the week. He now has at least five catches, 50 receiving yards and a touchdown in both games this season, and he ran a route on a whopping 92% of Mac Jones' dropbacks in Week 2.
Henry is one of Jones' favorite red-zone targets, and his touchdown upside is what sets him apart from the other fringe TE1/2 options.
Aubrey has converted all seven of his field goal attempts to start his career, including a 55-yarder. The Cowboys have the second-highest total of the week, and Aubrey might be worth spending a couple FAAB bucks on since he could be a top-five or 10 option moving forward.
The Texans have the fourth-lowest team total this week and have been a pretty fast-paced, pass-heavy team to start the season. Houston also has been dealing with a ton of injuries on the offense line, which has led to C.J. Stroud taking 11 sacks in his first two NFL starts.
The Jaguars have the talent up front to take advantage of this matchup and are a top-five option for Week 3.
