Streaming quarterback, kicker and defense has been a strategy I've used successfully for years.
I've parlayed that success into a series of weekly recommendations of the top streaming options at those three positions as well as tight end — a position I don't recommend streaming week-to-week, though still offer recommendations for fantasy players who may need a short-term rental.
Here are this season's results through Week 12:
- Defense: DEF2
- Quarterback: QB11
- Kicker: K8
- Tight end: TE18

Week 13 Defense Streamer
Raiders at Jets

It's not a great week for defense streamers, so let's add the Raiders here as a placeholder since they play the Jets.
They have the second-fewest sacks on the season despite being ranked 21st in generating pressure. Therefore, we can expect some positive regression there and potentially get us a couple of sacks. Sam Darnold always carries one of the highest interception projections every week, and this week he is third-highest.
The Jets also have the fourth-lowest team total, making the Raiders a fairly solid play here. Check back later in the week for my Updated Streamers to see if a better option pops up.
Week 13 QB Streamer
Bears QB Mitchell Trubisky vs. Lions

It's a pretty rough week for potential streaming options again.
I like the idea of adding Trubisky as a "wait and see" option for Week 13. If Nick Foles is unable to return from his hip injury this week, it will give us confidence that Trubisky will play all four quarters if he starts.
He would have a great matchup against Detroit and offers plenty of upside given his rushing ability. If Foles is in the mix this week, I may choose to go with a safer option, so be sure to check my Updated Streamers on Saturday to know where I stand.
Week 13 Kicker Streamer
Vikings K Dan Bailey vs. Jaguars

Bailey had gone four of his previous five games without a field goal attempt before seeing two in Week 12 (including a 53-yard make).
I think we can consider that rough five-game stretch as bad luck instead of something we should project going forward. The Vikings are 9.5-point favorites at home against the Jaguars, and we can expect them to give Bailey plenty of scoring chances.
Week 13 TE Streamer
49ers TE Jordan Reed @ Bills

I bailed on Reed in my Updated Streamers for Week 12 because he was a game-time decision. Considering he didn't play until the afternoon slate, he wasn't worth the risk.
While he only finished with a 2/18/0 box score against the Rams, Reed ran a route on 68% of the dropbacks, which was the highest clip of the season for him. We could project Reed for four or five receptions with that kind of usage, and I like the idea of taking a flier on him here against the Bills.
