Streaming quarterback, kicker and defense has been a strategy I've used successfully for years.
I've parlayed that success into a series of weekly recommendations of the top streaming options at those three positions as well as tight end — a position I don't recommend streaming week-to-week, though still offer recommendations for fantasy players who may need a short-term rental.

Here are this season's results through Week 6:
- Defense: DEF1
- Quarterback: QB16
- Kicker: K9
- Tight end: TE16
Now without further ado, let's go streaming!
Week 7 Defense Streamer
Eagles vs. Giants
- Rank: DEF3 [Go To My Full Rankings]
- Available in: 50% of leagues
Daniel Jones is a sack and turnover machine. Look for the Eagles to take full advantage of that this week — they're a top-five defense this week and are easily my favorite streaming option.
Week 7 QB Streamer
Chargers QB Justin Herbert vs. Jaguars
- Rank: QB10 [Go To My Full Rankings]
- Available in: 40% of leagues
Herbert has thrown for either more than 300 yards or more than three touchdowns in each of his four starts. The fast start to his career is even more incredible when you consider that he faced three top-10 defenses according to Football Outsiders' DVOA: Chiefs (ninth), Bucs (second) and Saints (sixth).
The Chargers had a Week 6 bye, which led to him getting dropped in a ton of leagues. But if Herbert is unavailable in your league, Derek Carr (23% owned) may be the next best bet.
Carr is in a potential pass funnel game script against the stingy Bucs defense. It's early in the week, so be sure to check my updated QB rankings later in the week to see which QB I have ranked highest that you have access to before locking in your final lineup.
Week 7 Kicker Streamer
Seahawks K Jason Myers @ Cardinals
- Rank: K1 [Go To My Full Rankings]
- Available in: 82% of leagues
Myers had a Week 6 bye, which forced many managers to cut bait. He carries a high floor as he should get plenty of extra point attempts, but the Seahawks are due to regress when it comes to red-zone efficiency — they currently have an 89% red-zone touchdown rate, which is not sustainable — resulting in more field goal attempts going forward.
I expect them to remain one of the more potent offenses in the league, but usually, the top team in that metric ends up around 75%. Myers' two field-goal attempts on the season are a bit fluky, and he should be a top-five option as we advance.

Week 7 TE Streamer
Washington TE Logan Thomas vs. Cowboys
- Rank: TE13 [Go To My Full Rankings]
- Available in: 83% of leagues
We are going back to the Logan Thomas well this week — he put up a 4/34/0 receiving line as my streamer back in Week 3, and he's been maintaining an 80-90% routes run per dropback rate each week, which is elite.
Poor QB play has been holding him back all season, but last week Kyle Allen gave this passing attack a pulse with 280 yards through the air. Allen connected with Thomas three times for 42 yards, including a 5-yard touchdown.
This plus matchup against the Cowboys defense put Thomas inside my initial top 12 at TE this week.
