Streaming quarterback, kicker and defense has been a strategy I've used successfully for years.
I've parlayed that success into a series of weekly recommendations of the top streaming options at those three positions as well as tight end — a position I don't recommend streaming week-to-week, though still offer recommendations for fantasy players who may need a short-term rental.

Here are this season's results through Week 7:
- Defense: DEF1
- Quarterback: QB8
- Kicker: K3
- Tight end: TE10
Now without further ado, let's go streaming!
Week 8 Defense Streamer
Titans vs. Bengals
- Rank: DEF7 [Go To My Full Rankings]
- Available in: 73% of leagues
If you streamed the Eagles last week, keep them in your lineup against the Cowboys for Week 8. They are owned in 84% of leagues now, so if you missed out on them last week, you should target the Titans, who open up this week as my No. 7-ranked defense.
Despite being good on paper, the Titans defensive line has been unable to generate much pressure this year. They should be able to overmatch a Bengals offensive line that has allowed Joe Burrow to get sacked 3+ times in five of their seven games. Burrow has also thrown an interception in four straight games, something we can forgive him for in his rookie season. The Titans have the upside I like to target in my streamer defense and can likely be obtained for free from the waiver wire.
Week 8 QB Streamer
Panthers QB Teddy Bridgewater vs. Falcons
- Rank: QB7 [Go To My Full Rankings]
- Available in: 56% of leagues
If you were fortunate enough to snag Justin Herbert last week as your streamer, you are free to leave him in your lineup until further notice. I would treat him as someone with low-end QB1 value rest of the season.
Bridgewater is the clear-cut streaming option at QB this week. My initial ranks have him QB7, which means he may require a small FAAB bid to acquire him for a one-week rental.
The Falcons have allowed either 300+ passing yards and/or 3+ TDs to every QB they've faced this year. Teddy has the weapons to take advantage of this cupcake matchup.
Week 8 Kicker Streamer
Seahawks K Jason Myers @ 49ers
- Rank: K4 [Go To My Full Rankings]
- Available in: 78% of leagues
Myers was my top streaming option last week, and I would recommend leaving him in your kicker slot for Week 8.
I mentioned that he was due for some positive regression in terms of field goal attempts. Sure enough, he managed to boot two FGs (which matched how many FGs he made in the first five games combined) and four PATs on SNF.
Expect the Seahawks to provide him with plenty of scoring opportunities this week.

Week 8 TE Streamer
Eagles TE Richard Rodgers vs. Cowboys
- Rank: TE8 [Go To My Full Rankings]
- Available in: 91% of leagues
Rodgers took over the Zach Ertz role in Week 7 and posted a solid 6/85/0 line. He only ran a route on 65% of dropbacks, meaning he has room to grow going forward. It's also worth pointing out that his first catch was an 18-yard grab where he fell just a yard short of finding the end zone. He has a high floor/ceiling combo this week against the porous Cowboys defense.
If Rodgers gets scooped up, Cleveland's Harrison Bryant would be a close second. His two-TD performance was no fluke, and he should get the start again if Austin Hooper ends up missing Week 8. Both TEs will likely require a small FAAB bid to lock up for this week.
