Cincinnati Bengals wide receiver Tee Higgins will not suit up for Sunday's Week 3 road tilt against the Pittsburgh Steelers.
Higgins didn't practice Wednesday or Thursday due to a shoulder injury.
The former Clemson standout's been the go-to guy for quarterback Joe Burrow, seeing a team-high 15 targets in 2021. He's tied for the team lead in both catches (10) and receiving touchdowns (2).
Higgins enjoyed one of his best games to date in his first meeting against the Steelers last year. He hauled in seven passes, registering 115 yards and a touchdown.
Without Higgins, receivers Tyler Boyd and Ja'Marr Chase will pick up the slack.
"Chase and Boyd both get a bump," said The Action Network fantasy expert Sean Koerner. "Auden Tate would typically see a huge boost if any of the WRs miss time, but he’s been splitting time with Mike Thomas. Can’t trust Tate in season long formats but he’s a potential flier in GPPs today in DFS."
Chase is WR25 and Boyd is WR 35 in our consensus rankings.
Chase played college ball at LSU with Burrow. The tandem got hot off the bat, connecting for a touchdown in the opener against the Vikings.
After the rookie receiver led the team in receiving yards in Week 1, Boyd picked up the torch last weekend against the Raiders.
Cincinnati head coach Zac Taylor's been running the ball on 54.5% of snaps, a year after throwing the ball more than 60% of the time.
The Bengals are 2.5-point road underdogs Sunday versus Pittsburgh, with a light total of 43.
