The Philadelphia Eagles have the best rushing offense in football, and with Miles Sanders out in Week 17, meaningful snaps are available that could swing a fantasy football championship.
A three-man field will look to replace Sanders, who leads the team in carries and yards. Jordan Howard will play with Boston Scott and Kenneth Gainwell as other options on the depth chart.
Sanders was hurt in Week 16, which opened the door for Scott to lead the team in fantasy scoring with 12 carries for 41 yards and a touchdown. Howard had nine carries for 37 yards with four targets in the passing game. Gainwell caught a pass for six yards.
With three backs involved against the Washington Football Team in Week 17, how can fantasy football managers navigate the situation? Let's see what Chris Raybon and Sean Koerner's consensus Action Network rankings suggest.
Philadelphia Eagles Running Back Fantasy Football Rankings
In standard scoring leagues, Howard is the top option according to our experts.
Howard comes in as RB24, however one of our experts puts him inside the top 20. That puts him ahead of Cordarrelle Patterson and Rex Burkhead.
Scott is second on the team in our rankings at RB45, but there's a significant split of opinion there, too.
Finally, Gainwell is a longshot consideration at RB58.
Howard's ranking is lower for PPR scoring leagues, as is Scott's. Gainwell receives a slight boost.
The Eagles are six-point favorites against Washington, which could offer a game script that benefits the team's running backs.
