Alvin Kamara's knee injury will cause him to miss yet another game for the New Orleans Saints, but that's good news for Mark Ingram in fantasy football circles against the Dallas Cowboys on Thursday Night Football.
Kamara hasn't played since a Nov. 7 loss to the Atlanta Falcons when he touched the ball 17 times for 104 yards and a touchdown.
The Saints have lost each of the last three games Kamara has missed, including a 31-6 blowout on Thanksgiving to the Buffalo Bills.
New Orleans acquired old friend Mark Ingram in a trade with the Texans to provide some stability in the backfield. That's who fantasy football managers will wonder about on Thursday as he's expected to get most of the workload alongside Tony Jones Jr.
Ingram didn't play in the loss to the Bills and Jones struggled, carrying the ball 16 times for just 27 yards. Ingram did lead the team in rushing yards in the other two games without Kamara, tattling 47 yards and a score against the Titans and 88 yards against the Eagles.
In addition, Ingram has been a boost as a receiver. In his last three games with the Saints, he has 15 catches.
What does that all mean for Thursday night against the Cowboys? We turn to our fantasy football expert, Sean Koerner, for his updated rankings.
