"Streaming" quarterbacks, defenses and kickers has been a fantasy football strategy I've successfully used for years. I've parlayed that success into weekly recommendations for those three positions as well as tight end — a position I don't recommend streaming week-to-week, though still offer recommendations for fantasy players who may need a short-term rental.
Note that these players are rostered in fewer than 50% of Yahoo! leagues as of writing on Tuesday, but that these recommendations do not mean that they are the best streamer play for your league — be sure to check my up-to-the-minute rankings to see who the best available player is in your league.
Washington QB Taylor Heinicke vs. TB (9%)
Heinicke has QB1-upside this week in what should be a pass-heavy game script against the Bucs' pass funnel defense. His rushing upside provides a nice floor/ceiling combo for a streaming option. Heinicke might also be getting Logan Thomas and Curtis Samuel back this week. Getting even one of those two pass-catchers should give the passing offense a boost.
Titans Defense vs. NO (10%)
It's not a great week for streaming defenses, but I like the idea of adding the Titans for this week (currently my DEF7) because they face the Texans in Week 11. They will probably cost a couple of FAAB next week, but you can get them for a two-week rental for free this week.
Buccaneers K Ryan Succop at WAS (36%)
Succop's rostership took a nosedive after people dropped him while he was on a bye last week. However, the Tampa Bay offense will give him plenty of scoring opportunities every week, so if you want a long-term answer at kicker, you should spend a couple of FAAB to lock him up this week.
Steelers TE Pat Freiermuth vs. DET (40%)
I have been talking about "Baby Gronk" for a few weeks now as a TE ready to breakout. The talented rookie is on a three-game tear, posting lines of 7/58/0, 4/44/1 and 5/43/2. But, even when Eric Ebron returns to the lineup, Freiermuth appears to be a low-end TE1 the rest of the way.
He may require a decent FAAB bid to land him after his Monday Night Football performance. However, if you are looking for a cheaper alternative, Dan Arnold is another TE I have been banging the table about for several weeks now who is still wildly available.
