"Streaming" quarterbacks, defenses and kickers has been a fantasy football strategy I've successfully used for years. I've parlayed that success into weekly recommendations for those three positions as well as tight end — a position I don't recommend streaming week-to-week, though still offer recommendations for fantasy players who may need a short-term rental.
Note that these players are rostered in fewer than 50% of Yahoo! leagues as of writing on Tuesday, but that these recommendations do not mean that they are the best streamer play for your league — be sure to check my up-to-the-minute rankings to see who the best available player is in your league.
Saints QB Taysom Hill vs. DAL (6% Rostered)
Hill is expected to start over the struggling Trevor Siemian on Thursday Night Football. Hill offers low-end QB1 value due to his rushing upside, making him a potential long-term add for people in need of a QB1 the rest of the way. I like the idea of adding him if you need a long-term solution at QB. However, for managers who need a one-week rental (due to Aaron Rodgers being on bye), you might want to go with Taylor Heinicke, who offers a higher floor this week.
Dolphins Defense vs. NYG (44%)
The Dolphins defense is rolling right now and has been a big reason for their four-game win streak. They face a turnover-prone QB in Daniel Jones this week and are my favorite defense that is available in at least 50% of leagues. If you are in a must-win situation, I would bid a couple of FAAB to lock them up for this week.
Bengals K Evan McPherson vs. LAC (13%)
I keep using McPherson as my top streaming play at kicker and he keeps producing. The Bengals have an implied team total of 27 — one of the highest for Week 13 — meaning McPherson should get plenty of scoring opportunities again this week.
Raiders TE Foster Moreau vs. WAS (1%)
Moreau is a no-brainer add this week with Darren Waller expected to miss Week 13. When Moreau started for Waller in Week 7, he ran a route on 86% of Derek Carr's dropbacks and posted a 6/60/1 receiving line. He is currently my TE9. It's rare to have a top-10 tight end available in 99% of leagues, so he will likely require a healthy FAAB bid this week.
