"Streaming" quarterbacks, defenses and kickers has been a fantasy football strategy I've successfully used for years. I've parlayed that success into weekly recommendations for those three positions as well as tight end — a position I don't recommend streaming week-to-week, though still offer recommendations for fantasy players who may need a short-term rental.
Note that these players are rostered in fewer than 50% of Yahoo! leagues as of writing on Tuesday, but that these recommendations do not mean that they are the best streamer play for your league — be sure to check my up-to-the-minute rankings to see who the best available player is in your league.
Saints QB Taysom Hill at NYJ (34%)
Taysom Hill is somehow still available in 66% of Yahoo! leagues. If he is still available and you are looking for a one-week rental or a long-term QB1, Hill should be your guy. He is expected to play through a finger injury on his throwing hand that could require wearing a splint. I wouldn't worry about the injury too much as it will likely result in even more rush attempts for Hill this week after going 11/101/0 on the ground against the Cowboys. He opens up the week as my QB7 and the top streaming option for Week 14 (and beyond).
Seahawks Defense at HOU (15%)
The Titans, Chargers and Seahawks are great streaming options for Week 14. You really can't go wrong with any one of them. However, I will select Seattle as my top streaming option because Davis Mills will be back under center for the Texans. Seattle should be good for a handful of sacks/turnovers against the rookie this week, and I view the Seahawks as a high-floor streaming option.
Cardinals K Matt Prater vs. LAR (32%)
Matt Prater has been dropped in many leagues, likely due to Arizona's Week 12 bye, the three-game stretch where Colt McCoy started for the injured Kyler Murray, and because Prater has a disappointing 77% field goal percentage this season. However, he is a top-three option this week in what should be a high-scoring game against the Rams.
Vikings TE Tyler Conklin vs. PIT (30%)
Tyler Conklin will see a few more targets with Adam Thielen out of the lineup. Once Thielen was knocked out of the Vikings' Week 13 game, Kirk Cousins leaned on Justin Jefferson and Conklin even more. Conklin finished with a 7/56/0 line, but it's worth pointing out that he nearly caught a 13-yard TD but just barely stepped out while making an acrobatic grab. He opens the week as my TE9 and top TE streaming option.
