Streaming quarterback, kicker and defense has been a strategy I've used successfully for years.

Last season, I parlayed that success into a series of weekly recommendations of the top streaming options at those three positions as well as tight end — a position I don't recommend streaming week-to-week, though still offer recommendations for fantasy players who may need a short-term rental.

I'm continuing that series of weekly recommendations this season. Here are the results so far:

  • Defense: DEF1
  • Quarterback: QB30
  • Kicker: K24
  • Tight end: TE11

It's been an unideal start for our quarterback streamers, but we're only three weeks in — it'll get better moving forward.

Now without further ado, let's go streaming!

Note: All recommendations are available in at least 50% of Yahoo Fantasy leagues as of writing.

Week 4 Defense Streamer

Broncos vs. Jets

We're going to continue targeting the Jets until further notice — the short week will only make it more tough for them to put together a functional offense.

We shouldn't expect the Broncos defense to put up the same 26-point performance the Colts defense did last week, but Denver has a high floor.

Week 4 QB Streamer

Dolphins QB Ryan Fitzpatrick vs. Seahawks

Fitzpatrick has a juicy matchup against the Seahawks this week. The Dolphins are unlikely to slow down Russell Wilson, which should force Fitzpatrick to air it out. There's obviously some risk of the Dolphins benching Fitz in-game to bring in first-round pick Tua Tagovailoa.

Considering this spread opened at +7.5 and has been bet down to +6.5 (find real-time odds here), sharp bettors seem to think the Dolphins may keep this game fairly close.

DeVante Parker, Preston Williams and Mike Gesicki all entered the season with various injuries, but appear to be 100% healthy. We can roll the dice on a "Fitzmagic" type of game this week.

Week 4 Kicker Streamer

Texans K Ka'imi Fairbairn vs. Vikings

The Texans opened the season with a brutal three-game stretch against the Chiefs, Ravens and Steelers, but facing an 0-3 Vikings team should help the Texans get back on track. They're 3.5-point home favorites with a total of 54.5, so Fairbairn should see plenty of scoring chances in this game.

Week 4 TE Streamer

Seahawks TE Greg Olsen at Dolphins

Seattle has unleashed Russell Wilson — hopefully you listened to my advice to target Wilson in Rounds 5-6 of drafts — and streaming Olsen is a cheap way to get a piece of the action this week.

For the second straight game, Olsen ran a route on 71% of Wilson’s drop backs this past Sunday. That offers Olsen a ton of potential as long as he can keep up that underlying usage. He’s unlikely to rack up a ton of receiving yards, but I love his chances of finding the end zone with Wilson playing at an MVP level.
