"Streaming" quarterbacks, defenses and kickers has been a fantasy football strategy I've successfully used for years.

I've parlayed that success into a series of weekly recommendations of the top streaming options at those three positions as well as tight end — a position I don't recommend streaming week-to-week — which can be of assistance in a pinch.

The concept behind streaming is that you add someone for a given week based on the matchup, rather than putting the emphasis behind a player's long-term projection.

Note that these players are rostered in fewer than 50% of Yahoo! leagues, but that these recommendations do not mean that they are the best streamer play for your league — be sure to check my up-to-the-minute rankings to see who the best available player is in your league.

Read on for my Week 6 streaming analysis.

Seahawks QB Geno Smith vs. ARI (36% rostered)

Smith continues to exceed expectations as he is now the QB7 this season.

His situation should continue to be ideal for fantasy — he has one of the best WR duos in football in DK Metcalf and Tyler Lockett while Seattle’s abysmal defense requires its offense to put up 30-plus points in order to give them a chance to win.

Geno opens the week as my QB10 and is the top streaming option for Week 6.

Saints TE Taysom Hill vs. CIN (31%)

Back in Week 2, I floated the idea of stashing Hill given how much upside he carries as a “TE”.

I have said that he has the widest range of outcomes of any tight end in fantasy football history. He will have weeks where he puts up 0-2 points, but there will be others where he has 15-plus.

Considering the TE position is such a crap shoot outside of the top 5-7 guys, where oftentimes you are happy with just 4-5 points, Hill is a no-brainer play in order to cash in on the weeks he does hit.

However, he is going to be very difficult/expensive to land on the waiver wire after erupting for 34 points. If you are unable or unwilling to land him, I would opt for Hayden Hurst instead.

Bengals TE Hayden Hurst @ NO (31%)

I have been banging the table for Hurst all offseason and in-season. We are finally seeing him come into his own in this offense as he is essentially a more talented version of C.J. Uzomah.

With teams opting to go with two-high safeties against the Bengals to take away downfield throws, it will be critical for Joe Burrow to target Hurst underneath.

Hurst will be a TE1/2 option going forward. In weeks where either Ja’Marr Chase, Tee Higgins or Tyler Boyd miss time, he might even enter the mid/low-end TE1 discussion.

Packers K Mason Crosby vs. NYJ (11%)

The Packers have the third highest team total this week as they face the Jets at the friendly confines of Lambeau Field. Crosby should see plenty of scoring opportunities and he opens up Week 6 as my K6.

Bears DEF vs. WAS (10%)

The Bears have a juicy matchup against Carson Wentz, who has been sacked 20 times (third most) and has thrown six interceptions (tied for second). They open the week as my No. 3 defense.
