Is it May yet?
After COVID-19 postponed the 2020 Indy 500 to Aug. 23, this year's edition of the Greatest Spectacle in Racing is back to its traditional date of the Sunday of Memorial Day Weekend, which is May 30 this go-round.
With less than six weeks until the green flag drops at the Brickyard, 2021 Indy 500 odds are starting to trickle in, starting with the Westgate Las Vegas Superbook.
Team Penske's Josef Newgarden and Chip Ganassi Racing's Scott Dixon have opened as Indy 500 co-favorites at +700.
Three past winners, Will Power in 2018, Simon Pagenaud in 2019 and Alexander Rossi in 2016, round out the top five, all at +800 odds.
Two-time and defending Indy 500 winner Takumo Sato is further down the odds board at +2500, with fan-favorite and 2020 pole winner Marco Andretti available at +3000.
