The Highlights
- Jon Snow and Daenerys Targaryen (+200) are co-favorites to rule Westeros at the end of the "Game of Thrones" series
- Bran Stark, who was 50-1 in this same prop three years ago, is now +350
- Don't overlook The Night King at +1000. This is not a show that will hesitate to have the bad guy holding all the cards at the end.
"Game of Thrones" has not finished production of its eighth and final season, but that isn’t keeping one sportsbook from posting odds on "Who will rule Westeros?" Jon Snow and Daenerys Targaryen lead this all-inclusive list that includes Jaqen H’ghar, The Hound and even Gilly.
The biggest mover on the board the past three years is Bran Stark. Before the youngest living Stark found the Three-Eyed Raven, I theorized Bran would be able to control dragons and 50-1 was a steal:

It would be quite the quandary of paying two winners if Bran Stark and The Night King are the same person. Rumors are running rampant, as the “Double D’s” (short for creators D. B. Weiss and David Benioff) are legendary for misleading the public. Up to four different endings are being shot to secure secrecy of the ending, making this potentially one of the greatest finales in cinematic history.
Let’s take a look at a few numbers that may pose value as the final ruler of Westeros:
The Night King +1000
We completely gloss over Dany and Jon as co-favorites, especially after Emilia Clarke’s Vanity Fair piece talking about her last scene. These are not comments from someone who sounds as if her character is a winner. Taking Jon Snow is simply too square for a show that made the Red Wedding and Hold the Door worldwide chatter.
What do we really know about The Night King’s motives? Absolutely nothing. He is frozen Hell’s reckoning; he can raise the dead, ride a frozen dragon and throw a javelin like an Olympian. Do not overlook the bad guy taking the Iron Throne in the end.

Cersei Lannister +1500
Speaking of bad guys taking the throne, how is Cersei Lannister being listed at 15-1 odds as if she is some kind of longshot? If there is one thing we know from leaked pictures, its that King’s Landing is burnt to a crisp. There is also an apparatus that is used for filming Dany's scenes on Drogon. If you follow the current timeline, Cersei will not be involved in the demolition of Winterfell. However, she will take on the winner (which looks to be Drogon). Think of Cersei being this year's Kentucky in March Madness. Would you not want the team whose path to the Final Four is beating 12, 13, 9 and 11 seeds?
Through the Battle of Blackwater, Walk of Atonement and the Sept of Baelor blast, I have learned to never count out Cersei Lannister. She has been leading "Death Pool" betting odds for nearly four years and is still sitting on the throne. I expect plenty of tricks up her sleeve … like a Tyrion heel turn back to his Lannister roots.
Did Tyrion Lannister betray Jon Snow and Daenerys on #GameOfThrones?! https://t.co/zyYOa9eHhQ

Gendry +7500
Quite a longshot for King Robert Baratheon's bastard son, especially with the news that Jon Snow is an actual Targaryen and rightful heir to the Iron Throne. Gendry represents the last bloodline for House Baratheon, and he earned the respect of Jon Snow, Davos Seaworth and the Brotherhood without Banners in Season 7 episode "Beyond the Wall."
If Robert Baratheon's bastard is still standing after multiple wars, Gendry could get us to the window. We certainly know he has the stamina after rowing a boat for four years and then running for six hours straight in deep snow. If there is a low-key "good guy" script for the ending of the show, its Gendry. We all know his family has experience in overthrowing House Targaryen.
Joe Dempsie (Gendry) has also announced that he's finished filming scenes for the final season of #GameofThrones. That's a wrap on Gendry, people! That's a wrap! https://t.co/tBYoieFvkcpic.twitter.com/59GlGdArUW
