Nevada topped the search rankings for poker, roulette, and blackjack, which is not too surprising, since it is considered to be a traditional gaming hub.
But the state with the highest percentage of searches for the term “online casino” is Pennsylvania. The Keystone State led all states with legalized online gaming.
In Washington D.C., bingo was the most searched-for game, indicating a local interest in this classic pastime. In the southern and central states, including Mississippi, Oklahoma, Arkansas, Kansas, Alabama, and Louisiana, slot games and online slot machines were the favorites among searchers.
The report noted that these areas have many land-based casinos, which seems to increase residents' interest in playing online slot machines.
The research details how Americans are increasingly embracing casino gaming and sports betting as acceptable forms of entertainment.

The fact that poker is the leader among online casino games is not surprising. Another American Gaming Association study predicted its growing presence earlier this year.
