Josh Palmer
Anytime Touchdown +210 (bet365)
Mike Williams, who suffered a back injury in Week 18, is expected to play in this game, but it’s quite possible he’s limited, which is part of the reason why I like Josh Palmer here.
In the four game Williams was sidelined over the regular season, Palmer was on the field for over 90% of snaps and caught two touchdowns. One of those games was against the Jaguars, when Justin Herbert was dealing with busted ribs and Keenan Allen was out of the lineup. Palmer finished with six catches for 99 yards – he had two red-zone targets.
Overall, the Jags gave up 18 touchdowns to wide receivers.
Trevor Lawrence
Anytime Touchdown +390 (Caesars)
Trevor Lawrence, sixth of all quarterbacks with 14 red-zone carries, scored five rushing touchdowns this season.
The Chargers were bottom five in rushing yards allowed and allowed 17 rushing TDs – three of those to quarterbacks.
Travis Etienne is likely a popular play, but the odds on him are a bit of control, ranging anywhere between -105 to -135. During the Jags’ five-game winning streak to close the season, Etienne only had one touchdown.
In a do-or-die game, I like Lawrence to take initiative and score at the goal-line.
