Resorts on the Las Vegas Strip are kicking their Formula One week preparations into high gear — and shifting hotel room prices to sell remaining available hotel inventory.
The race is on Saturday night, and (similar to last year) hotels along Las Vegas Boulevard are partnering with F1 to offer packages. It can include race tickets, expedited entry into after-parties, and even a welcome pack.
As of Thursday afternoon, the average daily room rate for a Friday through Sunday stay at some resort and casino properties was hovering around $600 without taxes and resort fees. But depending on the type of experience you’re looking for, you can spend upwards of $22,000 a night.
Room Rates Shifting For 2024 Grand Prix
Last year’s Las Vegas Grand Prix brought eye-popping room rates. At Caesars Palace, for instance, prices were originally set at or above $5,300 when rooms were first made available in 2022, but fell to about $2,400 a month before the 2023 event.
It’s not quite like that this year, where experts say demand for tickets isn’t the same as it was for the inaugural event, which is contributing to the fluctuation in room rates.
So, let’s take a look at what some of the hotels and resorts that are closest to the race are asking, and what you’ll get for your money.
Resorts World
Depending on where you’d like to watch the race, Resorts World Las Vegas offers three Race World VIP packages. Prices vary based on how long you’re staying and the area from which you can watch the race.
And with your package, you also get a welcome kit for two that includes:
- Ear plugs
- Gloves
- Scarf
- F-1 T Shirt
The package includes expedited VIP entry to the Zouk Nightclub and stage access.
MGM Resorts
Rooms at the MGM start at around $2,200. The resort also sells packages for the Bellagio Fountain Club, Paddock Club, or Main Grandstands, and you can buy the Boulevard Experience with watch-party tickets starting at over $13,000 per person.
The Hakkasan Nightclub is also stacking its roster with the likes of American DJ and record producer. Steve Aoki.
Caesars Palace
It is one of the official partners of the race, offering ticket and room packages for the Grand Prix starting at roughly $1,100, with the most expensive suite going for over $22,000 a night.
The Venetian
The Venetian Resort Las Vegas is not only an event partner of the Formula 1 Heineken Silver Las Vegas Grand Prix, but its location also provides one of the best views of the race once again this year.
A 1.2-mile stretch of the track runs down the famous Strip, passing right by The Venetian Resort.
Wynn Las Vegas
The Wynn Las Vegas offers the F1 Las Vegas Grand Fan Experience. This event features appearances by F1 and F1 Academy teams, live entertainment, and food trucks. There’s also a video showing an F1 car driving through the hotel and casino.
On top of that, the XS Nightclub will not only feature some of the world’s top DJs, but behind the booth will be performers, including Marshmello, The Chainsmokers, and Diplo.
The Las Vegas Grand Prix starts at 1 a.m. ET on Sunday, Nov. 24. For those on local time in Vegas, the race starts at 10 p.m. PT on Saturday, Nov. 23.
