To celebrate its 4th anniversary, Live! Casino Pittsburgh revealed a $3 million project to improve its gaming and entertainment options.
Now open to the public are the new Live! Poker Room, a High-Limit Table Games Room, and The Social Club, a private meeting and event area.
Casino team members, along with government and business leaders, attended a ribbon-cutting ceremony in the new Poker Room. There, legendary Pittsburgh Penguins Stanley Cup champion Phil Bourque played the first poker hand.
Live! Casino Pittsburgh previously invested $150 million to create its gaming and entertainment destination, which opened to the public on November 24, 2020. They've completed an additional $7.5 million in property upgrades since then.
What Do the Upgrades Include?
The latest improvements are led by a new poker room and other amenities, including:
- Poker Room: Located on the first floor near the main casino area, the new Live! Poker Room offers a vibrant and dynamic environment for players. It features six large tables and multiple big-screen TVs across approximately 1,400 square feet.
- High-Limit Table Games Room: Situated near the main entrance, this upscale gaming space caters to those seeking luxury and excitement. It includes three high-action tables for poker and other popular games like Blackjack, a stylish bar, and big-screen TVs.
- The Social Club: Found on the second floor next to Sports & Social Steel City, this area can accommodate groups of 20 to 100 people. It offers a flexible layout, suitable for both casual gatherings and formal events.
“It’s incredible to think that we’ve been part of this community for four years and it just keeps getting better, Live! Casino Pittsburgh General Manager, Sean Sullivan said in a statement to Action Network. “I don’t think there could be a more appropriate way to celebrate than with these three exciting additions to our beautiful property,” he added.
The Live! Casino is one of two in Pittsburgh. Rivers Casino is located on Pittsburgh's North Shore, next to Heinz Field and PNC Park.
