In the very near future, you might be able to place bets from Twitter/X.
That's according to a story from Fortune on Friday, which reported that BetMGM is partnering with Twitter/X.
The partnership reportedly is to "bring sports gambling stats to the social media platform," but a bit further down the page, the article also says that the "intention" is for there to be a feature on Twitter/X that would provide users a direct link to place bets on BetMGM.

According to Action Network's knowledge, the ability to place bets from a social media platform would be a first-of-its-kind development in the sports betting industry. It is unclear how the functionality would be implemented — whether the "direct link" would open a BetMGM webpage inside of the social platform, whether it would redirect a user to the BetMGM app, or some other option.
BetMGM is currently the third-largest mobile sportsbook operator as measured by market share, behind FanDuel and DraftKings. BetMGM is expected to be one of the operators licensed in North Carolina when the state goes live with online sports betting on March 11, just ahead of this year's ACC men's basketball tournament and, of course, March Madness.
