The Vegas Sports Information Network (VSiN), a prominent sports betting media network launched by the Musburger family, named Miles Gwyn as chief operating officer Wednesday as part of a comprehensive management restructuring plan.

VSiN also named Bill Adee as VSiN’s CEO and Brian Musburger as president and chief business officer. The announcement comes after Musburger Media announced the repurchase of VSiN from DraftKings in late July. While VSiN indicated last month that Adee and Musburger would regain leadership positions, the network didn’t formally announce their roles until Wednesday.

Brent Musburger, a legendary sports broadcaster, left ESPN in 2017 to help his family launch a sports handicapping broadcast network. Weeks later, Brent’s nephew Brian founded VSiN, creating the nation’s first multichannel network dedicated to sports betting. Adee, another co-founder of VSiN, has held a variety of high-profile jobs in the media space, including sports editor of the Chicago Sun-Times and the Chicago Tribune.

DraftKings initially purchased VSiN for approximately $70 million in March 2021. But the sports betting heavyweight sold the network back to the Musburgers and other owners for an undisclosed sum, completing a transaction that had been rumored for months.

Earlier this month, VSiN appointed veteran radio executive Steve Cohen as the network’s executive vice president of talent and programming. Cohen most recently served as senior vice president of sports programming at SiriusXM after previously holding a senior leadership position at WFAN in New York. Collectively, Cohen and Adee have more than six decades of media experience under their belts.

“Bill has been an amazing partner in building this network during every phase, and there’s no one better suited than him to run the network as its CEO,” Brian Musburger said in a statement. “With Bill, Miles and Steve in place, we’re better positioned than ever and I look forward to setting my focus on our aggressive plans to rapidly expand distribution and partnerships.”

Vast Media Experience

Gwyn most recently served as director of broadcast operations at VSiN, where he was responsible for technical supervision, managing technical productions and staff, technical collaborations and communications.

During the last six years, Gwyn was tasked with rebranding VSiN's on-air graphics, as well as spearheading the technical launch of DraftKings’ FAST channel, DraftKings Network. Prior to joining VSiN, Gwyn worked at KTNV-Scripps, where he led station infrastructure upgrades, managed client relationships and developed and implemented effective advertising campaigns, according to a VSiN press release.

“Over the past five years, I’ve been fortunate to have the opportunity to work with an amazing team at VSiN, focused on providing a first-in-class experience and driving value for our partners,” said Gwyn. “It’s energizing to be in a growth and expansion mindset, and I look forward to working across departments and people to solidify the systems and structures that will allow us to continue delivering premium sports betting content.”

Gwyn held a variety of production roles for live sporting and entertainment events prior to his position with the Scripps affiliate.

“Miles has stepped up to every challenge we’ve thrown his way and I’m sure this will be no different,” said Adee. “Having this strong leadership team will accelerate our growth as we head into our biggest season of the year.”

Following his departure from ESPN, Brent Musburger hosted a nightly radio program, My Guys in the Desert, on VSiN. Now a VSiN contributor, he appears on the network periodically. Musburger served as the play-by-play broadcaster for the Raiders’ radio team starting in 2018, but left the position three years ago.

In addition to its 24/7 stream, VSiN’s original content is accessible through multiple video and audio channels, including YouTube TV, Rogers’ Sportsnet, NESN, AT&T Pittsburgh and Marquee Sports Network, a dedicated channel on iHeartRadio and TuneIn.
