Jon Rahm's Ryder Cup Outlook

Best asset: Driving and fourball play. Rahm can bomb the driver and pile up birdies with the best of them. He’s likely to be a problem for the USA in this competition for the next 20 years.

Worst asset: Accuracy and potential playing partner. Like Rory, there’s a chance Rahm is hurt if Europe decides to grow the rough out and limit how much the driver is used. It’s also likely we’ll see him paired with Sergio Garcia early in the event, and with how badly Garcia has played recently, that could hold Rahm down as well.

Ryder Cup Confidence Rating: 7 out of 10. I think Rahm will play well, and the only thing that keeps me from thinking he’ll have a great Ryder Cup debut is Garcia. Both teams have a veteran anchor who could hold them back, and I’d expect Rahm to get saddled with carrying Europe’s.
