Webb Simpson's Ryder Cup Outlook

Best asset: Putting. Following his Players Championship victory, Simpson spoke about how the anchoring ban has actually helped him become an improved putter, maintaining that he never would’ve been better than good using the old method.

Worst asset: Scar tissue. Four years ago, Simpson led off this event by sky-balling a tee shot and getting pummeled alongside partner Bubba Watson, setting the tone for an uninspired effort from the U.S. team.

Ryder Cup Confidence Rating: 5 out of 10. With top 20s at all four majors this year, Simpson is a different player than he was in the past, but we should still take a wait-and-see approach before anointing him a confident pick this week.
