2020 Workday Charity Open Odds: Justin Thomas the Favorite at Muirfield Golf Village

Well, we all knew it was going to come eventually.

Bryson DeChambeau powered his way to victory at the 2020 Rocket Mortgage Classic, becoming just the fourth outright favorite to win a tournament during the 2019-20 PGA TOUR season.

The TOUR now heads to Muirfield Village in Dublin, Ohio for consecutive weeks. DeChambeau will not be playing the 2020 Workday Charity Open, leaving room for another golfer at the top of the odds board.

Justin Thomas, who didn't participate in the Rocket Mortgage after playing for three straight weeks, is the betting favorite at +1100 ($10 bet wins $110). Thomas put together a pair of top-10 finishes at Colonial and Harbour Town before missing the cut as one of the favorites at the Travelers.

Things get crowded right behind JT, starting with Patrick Cantlay and Jon Rahm, who are priced at +1300 and +1400, respectively.

Cantlay has played only one tournament since the TOUR resumed play but he showed no signs of rust and finished T11 at the Travelers. Cantlay's last win came right here at Muirfield Village in the 2019 Memorial.

It's fair to say Rahm hasn't played his best golf since the restart. The Spaniard missed the cut at the Charles Schwab Challenge before finishing outside the top-30 at both Harbour Town and TPC River Highlands.

Brooks Koepka and Hideki Matsuyama are both currently listed at +1500, just ahead of Xander Schauffele at +1800. No other golfers are listed below 20-1.

Rickie Fowler had himself an interesting time at Detroit Golf Club. The 31-year-old was shot out of a cannon on Thursday and looked like a good bet to be the first-round leader before a double-bogey cooled his jets. Fowler then had to rally to make the cut on Friday before shooting a 69 on Saturday and a 67 on Sunday to finish T12.

Fowler has been all over the odds board through the first few weeks back in action. This week he's listed at +3000, behind Viktor Hovland (+2000), Justin Rose (+2200) and Collin Morikawa (+2800).

Adam Hadwin, fresh off a top-5 performance in Detroit, has seen his odds dip to +5000 at PointsBet, putting him just behind Jordan Spieth, Joaquin Niemann and Marc Leishman (+4000 apiece).
