PrizePicks Total Strokes Props
Jon Rahm: Round 1 Score Under 70
Rahm has been striking the ball beautifully this season, but his putter has really let him down. On Sunday in his last start at Riviera, Rahm switched putters and saw immediate results. After bleeding strokes on the greens the first three days, he gained more than two strokes putting on the field with the new putter on Sunday. I expect a hot start for the Spaniard at Bay Hill.
Viktor Hovland: Round 1 Score Under 70.5
Hovland showed last year that he has what it takes to get off to a good start at Bay Hill, when he was in third place after 36 holes. Despite struggling on the weekend, he showed that there is something about the course that suits him. He comes into the event this year playing the best golf of his young career, and is looking to build off of a terrific iron performance (+6.1 strokes on approach) at Riviera in his last start.
Tommy Fleetwood: Round 1 Score Over 71
Fleetwood comes into the week playing some pretty disappointing golf. Despite being one of the most consistent golfers at the Honda Classic over the past five years, he struggled mightily and missed the cut. Many of the things that made him a good player a few years ago have simply disappeared. He was miserable from tee to green once again last week, losing a combined 5.2 strokes off the tee and on approach.
Patrick Reed: Round 1 Score Over 71.5
Reed's game is simply missing right now. He has lost strokes on approach in nine of his past 10 starts, and has lost strokes off the tee in 10 of his past 11 starts. Coming off of consecutive missed cuts, it would be a surprise if he got off to a good start at Bay Hill, where he missed the cut last year.
