We'll take one last look at golf here before the calendar moves to 2023 with the Hero World Challenge in the Bahamas.

We get a limited but elite field of 20 players this week notably headlined by the host Tiger Woods.

Editor's note: As of Monday afternoon, Woods has withdrawn from the Hero World Challenge due to plantar fasciitis and is expected to be replaced by Sepp Straka.

The Course

Albany Golf Course can play as a bomber’s paradise with five par 5s on a 7,400-yard, par-72 track. Unless the wind picks up, there isn’t much trouble, and we can expect the winner to get to around 20-under par. It’s the classic resort course right on the water.

Viktor Hovland, Jon Rahm and Bubba Watson have wins here, along with Hideki Matsuyama and Rickie Fowler, so we’ve had a couple of long hitters and a couple of strong iron players take the tournament on this course.

The Field

Jon Rahm opens as the favorite at around +500. I don't really bet favorites, but I could see a lot of people going down this path. He's won two of his last three starts worldwide and has finished first and second in two starts here.

Scottie Scheffler, Tony Finau, Justin Thomas and Xander Schauffele make up the +800-1000 range. Scheffler was second last year, and Finau is fresh off a win and was second here in 2018. But at these number, I'd probably just rather pay up for Rahm.

My play will come from that next range though with Tommy Fleetwood at +1800 on DraftKings. Fleetwood has played once here and finished third, so the set up is favorable for him. The form is also coming back as well. He's finished inside the top five in his last three starts overseas, including a win.

It's a limited field, so a limited card, but of the group, Fleetwood is coming in with the form I like at a price I can handle.
