The golf on Saturday was some of the best you will see from some of the best players in the world. Rory McIlroy stood out the most as he birdied 17 of the 36 holes he played and the fact he had to play that many holes tell us just how well his opponents also played.
Sunday will feature four of the top 15 players in the world and after five matches, they are all at the top of their game. It will be must-see TV and likely highly volatile from a gambling perspective. I'll take a shot at predicting a winner, but, as usual, it's all odds shopping for me.
Best Bet
Sam Burns +500 (FanDuel)
I'll just take the best putter at the best odds going into the weekend. Scottie Scheffler hasn't played his best and arguably should've lost his past two matches, but he's found a way to escape and I expect he will eventually fall as the competition rises.
Sam Burns has been continued raise his game over the past few weeks and that progression has continued this week. I'd be happy to take him at the best odds with the hope he can take down his good friend — and World No. 1 — just as he did last year at the Charles Schwab.
If Burns does that, we've got great odds on him winning the whole thing in that final match.
