After a few weeks off, LIV Golf returns to Chicago for the third straight year. The first two installations of LIV Golf Chicago were played at Rich Harvest Farms. This year, it will be at Bolingbrook Golf Club, a 7,100-yard par-70 that seems like a track the players should eat up. Based on my early observations, I believe the winning score will be lower than 15-under. It looks very friendly off the tee and is not overly long by any means.

This is the final regular-season event of the LIV season before they head to Dallas for the team championship. The battle for the top spot between Jon Rahm and Joaquin Niemann has really heated up. Niemann started off hot, while Rahm has really figured things out of late. Both of these players have one in birdie fests and make a ton of sense ahead of this week… obviously, they are the favorites for a reason!

Below, we will take a look at the key stats ahead of LIV Golf Chicago and find some golfers to add to our betting card.

2024 LIV Golf Chicago Key Metrics

Driving Distance

With the landing areas being benign, expect the golfers to take out the driver on most holes and really send it. Here are the golfers who drive the ball the furthest on LIV this season.

  1. Bryson DeChambeau
  2. Matt Wolff
  3. Joaquinn Niemann
  4. Dean Burmester
  5. David Puig

Birdie Percentage

Make no doubt about it, you are going to keep your foot on the gas this week. Getting to 15-under or lower over 54 holes is no easy task. With this course being easy, we are going to have to find the golfers who take it low often. Below are the leaders in birdie percentage thus far.

  1. Jon Rahm
  2. Joaquin Niemann
  3. Tyrell Hatton
  4. Cameron Smith
  5. Abraham Ancer

2024 LIV Golf Chicago Picks

It has been a profitable season for us this season. Through 12 events, we have grabbed three winners, which are listed below:

  • LIV Vegas: Dustin Johnson +1600
  • LIV Miami: Dean Burmester +3200
  • LIV Houston: Carlos Ortiz +2900

Sadly, we have chased an elusive Jon Rahm win in six of the 12 events. However, hitting a winner in three of the six events in which I did not bet Rahm is pretty impressive, and I wish I would have done that all season.

Below is the betting card using the 7x ROI Card Construction Structure.

Cameron Smith +1400

I am not ready to give up on Cameron Smith just yet.

We once again get to run him out on a golf course that gives you easy landing conditions off the tee. This is what Smith needs to succeed. From there, he will be able to lean into his elite iron skill and wedge play to make a ton of birdies. He has had success in the Windy City before as he won this event at a different track back in 2o22.

Smith is surely one of the most talented golfers on the LIV circuit and is well overdue to grab a win. He was in the mix recently at LIV UK and has now posted four straight T9 or better finishes.

Talor Gooch +2000

Gooch has played well in back-to-back events and finally has shown some form similar to what he posted last season.

As we know, Gooch went on a great run of wins last year. Recently, he posted a T6 at LIV UK and was in the mix for 80% of the event at LIV Greenbrier.

This is a course that Gooch can surely play well on. He isn't the longest off the tee but has elite birdie-making ability from the fairway. We know he will hit most fairways, and he can lean into his shot-making ability from there — like Smith.

This is a similar style of course to what we saw at Greenbrier and Gooch proved that he can play there. Look for him to post another great week and get into the mix at LIV Chicago.

Jason Kokrak +5000

We backed Kokrak at LIV Golf Greenbrier and he nearly made the playoff with Jon Rahm and Brooks Koepka. This is a golf course that asks you very similar questions, so why not go right back to him at 50-1?

Kokrak is just ahead of the "open zone" in the LIV Golf standings at 22nd. He surely wants to avoid all questions for next season, which would lead him to playing well here this week. Look for Kokrak to bomb the driver and post another solid week in Chicago.
