The LIV Tour is back as they get ready for Liv Golf Greenbrier at The Old White.

Luckily for us as we preview my LIV Golf Greenbrier Picks, we have a ton of data on this golf course, as there have been plenty of PGA Tour events here, along with a LIV event last year. The most electric man in golf, Bryson DeChambeau, is the defending champion of this event. He won in dominant fashion last time, going 61-58 over the final two days. No matter what golf course you are on, that is an exceptional feat to accomplish.

This golf course is going to yield a ton of birdies through 54 holes. The 7,300-yard par 70 does not seem like it would be the easiest on paper, but this golf course will play on the softer side, allowing the players to throw iron shots at flags and have them stick. To make this course play even easier, the forecast is calling for a ton of rain over the weekend. As we know, Greg Norman controls the weather, so we will see if it actually rains in West Virginia this weekend. Below, we will take a look at the key stats in order to succeed and parlay those into our betting picks for the week.

Let's take a look at some key statistics ahead of my LIV Golf Greenbrier best bets for this week.

2024 LIV Golf Greenbrier Picks, Odds

Jon Rahm is the betting favorite to win in the latest LIV Golf Greenbrier odds, with Rahm +500 at FanDuel. He's followed by Bryson DeChambeau at +750, Joaquin Niemann and Tyrrell Hatton at +800, Cameron Smith at +1200, and Sergia Garcia at +1600.

While my LIV Golf picks for Greenbrier do feature one of those golfers, we'll also be taking a look at some long shots in my best bets below. But first, let's get to some data.

Key LIV Golf Greenbrier Metrics

Driving Distance

Year after year, golfers in this event mash the ball off the tee. The fairways are wide and will play extra wide with the forecasted rain. Looking at past leaderboards and results, some of the longer drivers in the field have found great success here. Below are the longest drivers thus far on the 2024 LIV Season.

  1. Bryson DeChambeau
  2. Joaquin Niemann
  3. Matt Wolff
  4. Kieran Vincent
  5. Jon Rahm

Birdie Percentage

It is not rocket science — you are going to have to take it low this week. If you are not making 5+ birdies per round, you are getting lapped. Here are the best birdie makers of the 2024 LIV Season.

  1. Joaquin Niemann
  2. Jon Rahm
  3. Tyrell Hatton
  4. Cam Smith
  5. Carlos Ortiz

2024 LIV Golf Greenbrier Bets

It has been a profitable season for us. Through 11 events, we have grabbed three winners using the 7x ROI Card Construction Structure, which are listed below:

  • LIV Vegas: Dustin Johnson +1600
  • LIV Miami: Dean Burmester +3200
  • LIV Houston: Carlos Ortiz +2900

LIV Golf Greenbrier Pick: Cam Smith: +1400

I absolutely love this spot on the schedule for Smith. He showed some form on a course that suited him well in his last start (LIV UK) and heads to a spot that fits him even better. By no means is Smith a bomber, but he hits it plenty far enough, and these landing areas off the tee are less than intimidating. Any time you give Smith wide fairways, he will play well. The soft conditions will make this course even wider, which benefits Smith tremendously. From there, he can lean into that elite iron play and more than that elite putter.

Smith is due a win, and of course, his game suits him tremendously.

LIV Golf Greenbrier Picks: Long Shots Worth a Look

Now that the major season is over, I would not be surprised to see a longer-shot LIV player win. The top dogs have little to play for, and the guys at the bottom are fighting for their lives, as the league has a relegation system.

Adrian Meronk: +5500

I have been high on Meronk all year long, as he has the perfect type of game to succeed on LIV in 2024. He is extremely long off the tee and very aggressive with his irons. There is a reason he makes so many birdies. This is the path to success for a majority of LIV events, especially this week on a soft golf course.

Meronk is a winner, and he sounds determined to win a lot more often after listening to his interviews. Love him at 55-to-1.

Thomas Pieters: +6500

Pieters has always been an extreme talent but does not have the wins to back it up. For some reason, his results on LIV have not been good, but any time he goes over to play DP World Tour events or even The International Series, he plays very well.

I am in the camp where Pieters has not cared much about LIV results because the money was so good, but he is now in the zone where he needs to play well. He is 11th in driving distance, which is plenty long enough. He also has the ability to go on scorched earth ball-striking runs, which will play anywhere.

Peter Uihlein: +7500

If you want someone who could bomb the driver and get hot with the putter, Peter U. is your guy. His season has been up-and-down, but he has proven to have a high ceiling, as he almost won in Vegas. His last start was his best result since Vegas, so that shows he might be rounding into form. I'm happy to give Uihlein a shot in an event he needs to post a good finish in.

Jason Kokrak: +7500

At its core, Kokrak is a bomber who can flash with the putter. His season has not gone as planned, and he has lost some driving distance. He is a player in that zone who may get relegated and knows he needs to have a good week. Kokrak is surely ready for this event, as it should fit his game well.

Eugenio Lopez-Chacarra: +12500

Lopez has not had the season he wanted, and his Fiteball teammates have let him hear it. No joke, the LIV booth has reported that the team was disappointed with Lopez's season and attitude.

What we know about him is that he can pop in a given week. He has already won in his LIV career, which makes sense for this course. Lopez ranks 12th in driving distance and can surely heat up with the putter.
