The weekend is here at Royal Troon. We have seen an absolute war of golf over the first 36 holes due to the heavy winds off the Ayr Bay. Love it or hate it, we do not get to see this style of golf often so it is a pleasure seeing the pros absolutely grind in these weather conditions. Few golfers have gotten in the house under par thus far. The ones who have will have to hold on for dear life these next 36 holes. Below, we will look at the leaderboard and odds board to find some props or bets to cash heading into the weekend in Scotland. Here are The Open round three bets.

Scottie Scheffler To Win (+350)

He's in position, and I fully expect him to take advantage of it.

As I said going into the week, I have not seen a golf course better suited to Scheffler this season. Beating him over 72 holes is a very tough ask this week.

Scheffler is hitting the ball very well, gaining strokes to the field in the ball striking categories and figured some things out with the putter in round two. He does not have to putt perfectly to win this week, he will give himself enough chances with the ball striking.

Funnily enough, this is not far off from the number he was outright ahead of the 2024 U.S. Open. Troon is far better of a course for Scheffler than Pinehurst, though, so let's take advantage of the best golfer in the field on a course that suits him perfectly.

Sepp Straka Top 20 (+130)

Sepp is comfortably through the cut line at 2-over. He was going along very well until he caught a really tough break on No. 4 on Friday. He hit a 3-wood smoothly down the fairway that ended up getting an absurd kick off a mound into a pot bunker. This led to a pitchout and ultimately a double bogey.

This is very similar to the poor break that Straka got at the U.S. Open when he hit the flag stick on the fourth which led him to make a horrific number.

I expect Straka to rebound nicely from that and finish inside this top 20. He's gaining strokes ball striking but simply losing them on the greens. The putter is extremely volatile and can easily switch heading into the weekend. Grab the plus money on Straka here.

Emiliano Grillo Top 20 (+450)

Grillo is doing it across the pond once again. This man finished sixth in this event last season and finished T12 the last time it was held at Royal Troon. It's clear he likes the golf in this area of the country. Also, he had a nice week at Kiawah the last time the PGA Championship was held there.

If you get Emiliano near some water and wind, he figures it out. He's comfortably through the cut line at 3-over and hitting his irons very well. Grillo came into this event in elite approach form and that is paying dividends this week.

Look for Grillo to continue to play solid golf this weekend and cash you a top-20 bet.
