Harbour Town is a beautiful track that always provides some fun sweats. Through 36 holes, the RBC Heritage has played out pretty on brand. We saw the best iron players and putters jump to the top of the leaderboard.
Harbour Town does a great job of bringing the entire field together as it's one of the few golf courses on the PGA Tour that doesn't give an advantage to golfers like Scottie Scheffler or Rory McIlroy before they even tee off. In other words, distance is really mitigated around this place.
Any golfer in the field who can find their irons and pair it with a hot putter is live to take the trophy home. Let's take a closer look at the RBC Heritage Round 3 odds and find a few bets to cash on Saturday afternoon.
Cameron Young Top 10 (+750)
Young has been a top-10 machine this season. He's also on an extremely impressive ball-striking run. Through 36 holes, Young is top 10 in this field in Strokes Gained: Approach, but hasn't gotten much out of it. Iron play is a massive key to success here, so if Young can keep up that iron play over the weekend, he'll vault up the leaderboard with ease. Outside of that, he should fare far better on the par 5's. He has played the six par 5's at just -1, which will very likely improve. He is 23rd on the tour in par-5 scoring, but hasn't played them well this week.

T5. Ludvig Åberg— PGA TOUR (@PGATOUR) April 19, 2024
Sepp Straka Top 5 (+15o)
Straka has the most sustainable stat profile of the leaders. You don't need to do anything crazy off the tee at Harbour Town, and he is showing exactly that. What you do need to do here is hit your irons great and have a tremendous short game. Straka is the only golfer in this field that ranks inside the top 10 in Strokes Gained: Approach, Strokes Gained: Around the Green and Strokes Gained: Putting. That'll play on this course. Straka knows how to win on the PGA Tour and won't shy away from the big moment. Look for him to hang around over the weekend and cash this plus-money bet.
Ludvig Aberg to Win (+500)
First off the tee, first on approach. Adberg is putting on a ball-striking clinic thus far and this event, in my opinion, is his to lose. He's oddly done his best work on these shorter courses and is very comfortable in this area of the country. Just a few months ago, Aberg picked up his first and only PGA Tour win at the RSM Classic. That event was held in Sea Island, Georgia and has a very similar feel to Hilton Head. Aberg is young, fearless and really mirroring the early careers of some of the game's stars.
Give him a shot at 5/1. It is not the best number in the world, but it's not too far from the number he came into this event with and he's in a great position heading into the weekend.
