The 2025 Genesis Invitational tees off on Thursday morning from Torrey Pines Golf Course in La Jolla, Calif.
The tournament is generally played at Riviera Country Club, but was relocated this year because of the recent fires in the Los Angeles area.
I have four bets I'm eyeing this weekend, so let's get into it with my Genesis Invitational best bets and picks.
2025 Genesis Invitational Best Bets
Round 1: Collin Morikawa (-147) over Patrick Cantlay
Collin Morikawa will come out strong early in this tournament playing at a course in which he is very familiar.
The 28-year-old ranks fifth in strokes gained on the course and second on greens hit off the tee.
Morikawa's style of play will match up well at Torrey Pines this weekend.
Round 1: Scottie Scheffler (-135) over Rory McIlroy
We are getting a soft line on this matchup. I would have made this line in the -150/-165 range.
The world's best golfer struggled at Waste Management last weekend and was not satisfied with his performance.
Scheffler has fared well in this tournament and will deliver a bounce-back performance this weekend.
Round 1: Hideki Matsuyama (-105) over Justin Thomas
We will ride with the defending champion to come out hot on Thursday.
Matsuyama struggled last weekend at Waste Management and will bounce back at a course at which he has enjoyed success.
The last time Matsuyama played at this course, he shot a 68 in Round 1.
Outright Winner: Collin Morikawa (+1400)
As mentioned above, Morikawa's style of play is perfect for this course.
We are getting far too much value on the California native this weekend.
