The Outlook

Wise is at his best when he needs to hit the driver. We saw this at two driver-heavy courses when he won the Byron Nelson and tied for second at the Wells Fargo Championship. Experience is a concern for a major; he missed the cut in his only start at the U.S. Open, in 2016. But because he has seen a USGA setup before and has clearly improved since then, he’s a guy I really like as a sleeper. I’ll look at him for a first-round leader play if he gets a good draw with the weather, and I’ll be targeting him for a top-20 if I can find +800 or higher.
