The second of three FedEx Cup Playoff events gets underway Thursday with the BMW Championship at Olympia Fields North Course in Chicago.

With just 50 players remaining in the playoffs, Scottie Scheffler and Rory McIlroy are the favorites this week at +700.

McIlroy is the most popular bet of the week with 8.3% of the tickets. He's also tied for the most handle at 12.6% at BetMGM.

Patrick Cantlay is also getting 12.6% of the handle and is garnering the second-most attention from bettors (6.2% at BetMGM). Cantlay lost in a playoff last week to Lucas Glover.

The biggest liability for BetMGM this week is Cameron Young. He has been a popular bet over the past few weeks and is vying for a spot on the U.S. Ryder Cup team. Young is +4000 to win the BMW Championship. He's getting 4.8% of the bets and accounts for 5.2% of the BetMGM's handle.

Jon Rahm is getting a significant amount of action at BetMGM. The No. 3 ranked player in the world is garnering 6% of the bets and accounts for 10.9% of the money.

Scheffler is getting some sneaky sharp action this week. He's getting just 4.4% of the bets at BetMGM, but accounts for 10.7% of the handle.

Collin Morikawa is also seeing some smart money this week. He's getting 2.5% of the tickets and accounts for 3.6% of the money.

Pick:  Scottie Scheffler +700 | Collin Morikawa +2200
