The Outlook
Although he’s fallen off his consistent pace from earlier this year, Frittelli still stands out as a talented player with a ton of potential. He’s still easing into his major championship career, having played the other three once each, with a T-63 at last year’s PGA Championship and missed cuts at the other two. Every player is sure to feel a little uncomfortable when making his U.S. Open debut, but this South African will at least have some sense of comfort, playing the first two rounds with a pair of fellow University of Texas products in Jhonattan Vegas and Doug Ghim.
