It's a big week in golf ahead with the 2024 U.S. Open at Pinehurst No. 2.

I'll highlight my Global Golf Betting Picks for the 2024 U.S. Open among the seven following tournaments this week:

  • U.S. Open — PGA Tour
  • Meijer LPGA Classic — LPGA
  • Wichita Open — Korn Ferry Tour
  • Kaskáda Golf Challenge — Challenge Tour
  • Hana Bank Invitational — Japan Golf Tour & Korean Tour
  • Ladies Italian Open — Ladies European Tour
  • Paul Lawrie Match Play — Legends Tour

Global Golf Betting Picks

U.S. Open — PGA Tour

Best Bet: Sam Burns +7500 (FanDuel)

A major means a decent chunk of my card is already in place. I have one good bet with Bryson DeChambeau at +4000 and an awful one with Rickie Fowler at +5000.

With Scottie Scheffler at the top, a lot of golfers down the board are getting a boost in odds. Sam Burns is the one I'll target this week in that range.

He's got the elite short game needed around Pinehurst, and his irons have been solid for most of the year. He's finished in the top 15 in three of his last four starts and has five wins in his career. He's a guy who should contend in majors more often than he does.

The game is where it needs to be for him to have a good week.

Other U.S. Open Bets:

  • Sepp Straka +8000
  • Sungjae Im +9000

Meijer LPGA Classic — LPGA

Best Bet: Jennifer Kupcho +4000 (BetRivers)

It's another week on the LPGA where we're trying to dodge Nelly Korda.

I'll bet Kupcho to handle that task this week, and she's a player I've backed a couple times this year.

She missed the cut at the U.S. Open, but prior to that, she'd been in the top 25 in five of her previous six starts.

This has also been a course that suits her game. She's been inside the top 10 each of the past three years with a win in 2022.

Other Meijer LPGA Classic Bets:

  • Ariya Jutanugarn +5000
  • Morgane Metraux +16000
  • Yu Jing Sung +17500

Wichita Open — Korn Ferry Tour

Best Bet: Adam Long +9000 (bet365)

The Korn Ferry Tour rolls on this week with a mixed field. We have a few PGA Tour players who don't have an exemption into the U.S. Open playing here this week, while of few KFT guys made the U.S. Open through qualifying.

Long is one of those PGA Tour guys I'll focus on this week. He's really struggled on the big tour this year, making just two of nine cuts with no top-40 finishes. However, he showed up last week on the KFT and finished fourth.

For whatever reason, there are just some guys who fit the KFT birdie-fest lifestyle, and when they come back, it reignites their game.

Other Wichita Open Bets:

  • Julian Suri +5000
  • Thomas Rosenmuller +6000
  • Nick Grabrelcik +8000
  • Matthew Riedel +15000

Kaskáda Golf Challenge — Challenge Tour

Best Bet: Jack Senior +4000 (BetRivers)

The Challenge Tour makes a stop in the Czech Republic this week.

I'll go with Jack Senior at the top here. He was third on this course a year ago and has had some high finishes on a limited schedule this season. He's been inside the top 20 in three of six starts, including a second in India and a ninth in Spain.

When he entered this event last year, he was really struggling for form after missing seven of nine cuts. This year, the game is in better shape, so hopefully the improved play coupled with a course he seems to like will elevate that finish this season.

Other Kaskáda Golf Challenge Bets:

  • Haraldur Magnus +9000
  • Christofer Rahm +10000
  • Gary Hurley +10000

Hana Bank Invitational — Japan Golf Tour & Korean Tour

Best Bet: Gyu Min Lee +4000 (bet365)

The Japan Golf Tour and Korean Tour have a joint event this week. However, a few of the top JGTO guys are missing after making it through U.S. Open qualifying.

I'll go with the 23-year-old Korean GM Lee this week. Lee was second at this event two years ago and has found a good run of form on the Korean Tour. He's finished in the top 25 in seven of his last nine starts this year, including fifth and seventh in the past three weeks.

Now he's heading back to a course where he's had success with a little more experience and form.

Other Hana Bank Invitational Bets:

  • Tae Hee Lee +4500
  • Tomoyo Ikemura +7500
  • Jung-Gon Hwang +8000

Ladies Italian Open — Ladies European Tour

Best Bet: Anna Davis +2500 (bet365)

The LET makes a stop in Italy this week, but it's an American amateur who caught my eye.

Anna Davis is current the No. 11 ranked amateur in the world, and this is a rare LET start from someone this high up. The college players come over here and have success quite often, so she's definitely worth a look. She closed out her freshman season well by winning the Auburn regional and placing 19th at the NCAA championship.

She has the talent to be on the LPGA shortly, so this would be a good stepping stone in her career progression.

Other Ladies Italian Open Bets:

  • Emma Spitz +4000
  • Pranavi Urs +4500
  • Patricia Schmidt +10000

Paul Lawrie Match Play — Legends Tour

Best Bets: Joakim Haeggman +2500 (bet365)

We'll take a rare look at the Legends Tour this week. Europe's version of the Champions Tour has its match play event this week.

It's a straightforward 64-player elimination bracket, so with potentially multiple rounds in a day, it's worth looking at the younger guys who recently turned 50.

Haeggman is my favorite play of the bunch this week. He's been playing consistent golf with top 15s the last three starts, including a 14th at the Senior PGA. He was also second on the stroke play event held on this course last season.

This tour tends to be pretty heavy with the favorites, but the volatility of match play does open up some more opportunities this week.

Other Paul Lawrie Match Play Bets:

  • Simon Khan +4000
