We had a couple close calls with Bryson DeChambeau coming up just short at the PGA Championship and Jennifer Kupcho taking third on the LPGA this past weekend.
Nonetheless, we just keep moving forward with this never ending golf marathon as the books are offering another eight events this week. Find my Global Golf Betting Picks for the following tournaments below, highlighted by the 2024 Charles Schwab Challenge:

Global Golf Betting Picks
Charles Schwab Challenge — PGA Tour
Best Bet: Christiaan Bezuidenhout +5000 (BetRivers)
The Charles Schwab Challenge is another week on Tour where we have to dodge Scottie Scheffler. Hopefully his prison stint will throw him off his game for the rest of the year, but I doubt we're that lucky.
Either way, I'm playing Bezuidenhout in this spot. I've gone to him a couple time this year, and I'll keep trying him at these shorter courses that tend to give accurate players more life. He's hit his irons well most of the year and has one of the best putters on Tour.
He's also grabbed a win during his Euro stint on Valderrama, which is another tight driver course that favors a strong short game.
His track record here at Colonial is decent as well with finishes of 15th and 21st the past two seasons.
Other Charles Schwab Challenge Bets:
- Maverick McNealy +6000
- Aaron Rai +7000
- Austin Eckroat +8000
- Robert Macintyre 120-1
- Doug Ghim 125-1
- Justin Lower 200-1
Soudal Open — DP World Tour
Best Bet: Alex Fitzpatrick +3500 (DraftKings)
The DP World Tour is back this week with a stop in Belgium.
I'll just take a shotgun approach this week without any real big names in the field as the few upper echelon guys still left on this tour make the trip back from the PGA Championship.
Alex Fitzpatrick will be my top play here. Since joining the DP World Tour last year, he's been one of the most consistent players with nine top 20s since last August. He's also fresh off back-to-back top 25s on the PGA Tour.
He's going to breakthrough at some point, and this should be a favorable course for him. He's not the longest guy, so this more accuracy-based course will negate the edge that some of the longer hitters have over him.
Other Soudal Open Bets:
- Andy Sullivan +7500
- Joel Girrbach +7500
- Marcel Schneider +9000
- Santiago Tarrio 130-1
- Tom Vaillant 170-1
- Ivan Cantero 170-1
- Jeong Weon Ko 170-1
Senior PGA Championship — PGA Tour Champions
Best Bet: Brian Gay +5000 (bet365)
We hit an old guy major a couple weeks ago, so we'll try again here this week.
The usual big names are joined at the top by LIV's Richard Bland, who has been in the top half of those fields in six of seven starts this year.
Brian Gay is my focus here. He's been inside the top 20 in seven of nine starts this year, so the consistency is there. He's always been strong with the putter, which gives him an edge on this tour as the short game tends to abandon many of the players as they get older.
After splitting duties between this tour and the PGA Tour the past couple years, the Champions Tour has his full focus so far this year, and he's a guy who will eventually win thanks to a hot putter, so I'll take him here while the number remains high.
Other Senior PGA Championship Bets:
- Greg Chalmers +5000
- Stuart Appleby +8000
- Charlie Wi +8000
- Shane Bertsch 250-1
Visit Knoxville Open — Korn Ferry Tour
Best Bet: Frankie Capan III +4000 (BetRivers)
There's another regular stop on the Korn Ferry Tour this week in Knoxville.
I'll play Capan here. He missed the cut last week, and that caused some drift in his numbers. Prior to that, he had three straight top 10s and had worked his way among the favorites last week. This happens on the KFT; these guys are playing new courses, and one just doesn't fit their eye, so they miss a cut after a good run of form.
However, oftentimes they bounce back the next chance they get.
I think this could be a good buy-low spot for a player who looks to be on his way to a PGA Tour card.
Other Visit Knoxville Open Bets:
- Kristoffer Ventura +6000
- Myles Creighton +8000
- Seth Reeves +9000
- RJ Manke 250-1
Danish Golf Challenge — Challenge Tour
Best Bet: Robin Williams +4000 (BetRivers)
The Challenge Tour is back in action this week in Denmark. I find myself drawn to a lot of Danish golfers on this tour in general, so this is a home game for many of my favorites.
Unfortunately, the books also took note and cut the odds of the top guys, so I'll start with Robin Williams here. The 22-year-old has been playing a lot of Sunshine Tour golf in the past year, but players have made the leap from South Africa to this level quite often. He was fifth last week in Spain and had a second-place finish early in the year on the DP World Tour during one of their stops in South Africa as well.
He seems well equipped for this level from a talent perspective, so I'll back the young guy looking to take that next step in his career.
Other Danish Golf Challenge Bets:
- Felix Mory +4000
- Jack Senior +5000
- Jamie Rutherford +5000
KitKat Cash & Carry Pro-am — Sunshine Tour
Best Bet: MJ Viljoen +4500 (bet365)
We're going back to South Africa after a week off on the Sunshine Tour.
MJ Viljoen is the play this week as he's been trending up the last three events, going from 13th to 11th to sixth.
He was also second on this course two years ago. He's struggled when making the jump this year to DP World or Challenge Tour events, but when the Europeans leave, he's a threat to win on this tour, where he has two career victories.
Other KitKat Cash & Carry Pro-am Bets:
- Martin Vorster +4500
Mizuno Open — Japan Golf Tour
Best Bet: Michael Hendry +2800 (bet365)
We're starting to hit the meat of the JGTO schedule in Japan with events coming pretty much every week now.
I'll go with the veteran Michael Hendry this week. He's a player who has fit well here throughout the years. They have played this course 19 times since 1998 in this tournament, so it's one we're familiar with.
Hendry has been playing here going back to 2012 and has been 14th or better in all seven of his starts, including a runner up in 2017. He's also coming off a win two weeks ago, so the form is where it needs to be.
Other Mizuno Open Bets:
- Taihei Sato +2800
- Kosuke Suzuki 100-1
- Shunya Takeyasu 100-1
Jabra Ladies Open — Ladies European Tour
Best Bet: Pauline Roussin-Bouchard +3000 (bet365)
The Ladies Euro Tour makes a stop in France this week as we get an early look at the Evian Resort, which hosts the LPGA major Evian Championship each year. Consequently, this is a course we're quite familiar with.
I'll go with the local 23-year-old here in Bouchard. She's played here quite a bit, making the cut in the major on this course the past three seasons. This is a much weaker field than the major, obviously. She hasn't played the LET version of this tournament since 2019 when she came in second.
She's been forced back to the LET after struggling to maintain LPGA status, but I believe she's also too good for this tour. She already has a second this year in Morocco, and I think this is a favorable spot in her home country to put a win on the board.
Other Jabra Ladies Open Bets:
- Céline Herbin +5500
