There's not much to right home about from last week as only Andy Sullivan even cracked the top five.
Let's move on to a busy week where we have eight tournaments to highlight. Find global golf betting predictions for the following eight events below:
- PGA Tour: Arnold Palmer Invitational
- PGA Tour: Puerto Rico Open
- LIV Golf: Hong Kong
- DP World Tour: Jonsson Workwear Open
- LPGA: Blue Bay LPGA
- Champions Tour: Cologuard Classic
- Korn Ferry Tour: Astara Chile Classic
- Ladies European Tour: Aramco Tampa
PGA Tour: Arnold Palmer Invitational
Best Bet: Matthew Fitzpatrick +3300 (BetRivers)
With all the stars at Bay Hill this week, Matt Fitzpatrick tops my list of golfers to target.
This has been a really good course for him as he's finished 14th or better in six of the last seven years. It's easily been one of the better spots for him.
He also found a bit of form last week by finishing 21st at PGA National. This may not seem like much, but his previous two starts were a 68th and MC and both were ball striking disasters. This time he gained strokes on approach and was around field average off the tee.
Now he gets a chance with his usually strong short game in good shape to head to a course that has been much better for him from tee to green.
Other Arnold Palmer Invitational bets:
- Cameron Young +3300
- Keegan Bradley +6000
- Erik Van Rooyen +9000
- David Ford +100000
PGA Tour: Puerto Rico Open
Best Bet: Garrick Higgo +4500 (DraftKings)
With a limited field at the Arnold Palmer Invitational, the rest of the PGA Tour heads down to Puerto Rico this week.
This course has been a bomber's paradise. Players with elite distance like Viktor Hovland and Tony Finau broke through here. Guys like Martin Trainer and Ryan Brehm have also won here recently when length was the only thing keeping them afloat.
So I'll stick with that and go to Garrick Higgo. He's as long as anyone and also putts the ball really well. His irons are hit and miss, but he's coming off a great week on approach at PGA National. Hopefully that will carry over this week.
Other Puerto Rico Open bets:
- Victor Perez +4000
- Robert MacIntyre +5000
- Rafael Campos +6600
- Martin Trainer +8000
LIV Golf: Hong Kong
Best Bet: Cameron Smith +2000 (BetRivers)
We haven't had a winner over +1600 yet on LIV Golf with Joaquin Niemann collecting his second win to go along with one for Dustin Johnson. It's hard to really dig too deep on this tour right now with the top guys in great form.
This is a new stop for LIV, but a few of the guys played the Asian Tour event here in the past, so there will be some familiarity with the course.
Smith is the guy who caught my eye this week. We're getting a break in price because a bad week at the Saudi event. However, he was one of the guys who played in the Hong Kong Open here last year and came in second.
He's seen the course and didn't shoot worse than 68 that week, so this could be a week where he's able to hit the ground running where the other stars may need a round to figure things out.
DP World Tour: Jonsson Workwear Open
Best Bet: Nacho Elvira +6000 (FanDuel)
For the DP World Tour, I'm going to try Nacho Elvira again in this spot. Last week was uneventful when he finished 44th, but we're getting a little bit of a discount in price now, so I'll stick with him.
He was 20th the last time he played here in 2018. His form is much better now, and despite a mediocre performance, he's still riding some form that has seen him finish second, 13th and 16th over the past two months.
Other Jonsson Workwear Open bets:
- Gavin Green +6000
- Ryan Van Velzen +6600
- Jacques Kruyswijk +7000
- Thomas Aiken +7000
- Casey Jarvis +11000
LPGA: Blue Bay LPGA
Best Bet: Hye-jin Choi +1400 (bet365)
The LPGA makes a stop in China where many players from the local tour are getting a rare start. Because of that, we don't have the normal depth we see in the field on this tour, so we'll focus more on the top of the board.
We'll go to HJ Choi here. In three starts, she hasn't finished worse than 17th and took third a couple weeks ago. She's sixth in Strokes Gained: Approach among the players in this field and is also gaining ground off the tee and on the greens.
The 24-year-old has won 11 times in Korea, which has been a good predictor of success at the LPGA level. It feels like it's just a matter of time before she wins on the bigger tour as well.
Other Blue Bay LPGA bets:
- Mi Hyang Lee +5000

Champions Tour: Cologuard Classic
Best Bet: Mark Hensby +3300 (BetRivers)
This event remains in Tucson but will move to a new venue. Couple that with Steve Stricker, Steven Alker, Padraig Harrington and Stewart Cink all showing up this week, and it's really tough to find a bet I like here.
I'm going to try once more with Mark Hensby, who was leading in Morocco with 10 holes left before winding up in third. That marked his second time finishing third in as many weeks.
With the big guys all here, I'm sticking with players who have shown high-end form because they will have to be completely dialed in to take down the top of this field.
Other Cologuard Classic bets:
- Brian Gay +2800
Korn Ferry Tour: Astara Chile Classic
Best Bet: Ricky Castillo +3300
I'm going to circle back on Ricky Castillo here on the Korn Ferry Tour. He played well again last week by finishing 13th as he has now finished in the top 20 for four straight weeks.
The consistent form is there for a guy who won last year on this tour, so I'll keep backing him as long as he's listed a notch below the favorites.
Other Astara Chile Classic bets:
- Wil Bateman +4000
- Jacob Solomon +5000
- Cole Hammer +6600
- Trevor Cone +9000
- Mitchell Meissner +125000
Ladies European Tour: Aramco Tampa
Best Bet: Pauline Roussin-Bouchard +2800 (bet365)
While the LPGA heads to China, the Euro Tour makes a stop in Tampa. We have a few high-end LPGA players in the Saudi sponsored event, but for the most part, it's a regular LET field.
I'll take Pauline Roussin-Bouchard, who has plenty of experience on both tours. She's a winner on the LET but hasn't quite found a rhythm on the LPGA yet.
However, she has the talent and pedigree to win. She ranked as the No. 1 amateur in the world for most of 2020 while playing for South Carolina. The Gamecocks play plenty in Florida, so she should be more comfortable than many of the European counterparts.
As for form, she was just the runner-up a couple weeks ago in Morocco, so the game appears to be on the right track.
With the likes of Megan Khang, Lexi Thompson and Charley Hull to contend with, any of the Europeans will have to have their best, and she seems like she's close.
Other Aramco Tampa bets:
- Alice Hewson +3500
- Sára Kousková +11000
