Last week featured some close calls, but nothing got to the house. Aaron Rai was a runner up in Detroit, then we had third-place finishes on the LPGA and Korn Ferry Tour along with a top five in Europe two shots out of the playoff.
We'll head into a really quiet week with just four events to focus on, and there may not be any week this sparse until Thanksgiving.

Global Golf Picks
John Deere Classic — PGA Tour
Best Bet: Davis Thompson +3000 (DraftKings)
The John Deere Classic looks like a Korn Ferry Tour event this week, so it's pretty slim pickings for us.
Davis Thompson is the play for me here, and he's shown he's capable of contending in these weaker fields with a runner up last week to go along with one at Myrtle Beach.
He gains ground ball-striking pretty much every week and is an above average putter. That will allow him to compete in the birdie fest this week.
Other John Deere Classic Bets:
- Sam Stevens +5000
- Michael Kim +9000
- Chandler Phillips 120-1
- Joel Dahmen 150-1
- Patton Kizzire 170-1
- Patrick Fishburn 200-1
- Harry Higgs 300-1
BMW International Open — DP World Tour
Best Bet: Andrea Pavan +8000 (BetRivers)
The DP World Tour is off to Germany this week, and we'll be going back to Andrea Pavan again.
He finished fifth last week in his home country and was fourth the previous week in the Netherlands. Now he heads to the course where he won most recently by beating Matt Fitzpatrick in a playoff in 2019.
Pavan doesn't have a lot of victories to his name, but this is a rare price for a golfer fresh off back-to-back top fives with a previous win on the course.

Other BMW International Open Bets:
- Matthew Jordan +5000
- Calum Hill +5500
- Sean Crocker +6500
- Matteo Manassero +6600
- Mattias Schwab 220-1
- Nicolai Von Dellingshausen 250-1
International Series Morocco — Asian Tour
Best Bet: Eugenio Lopez-Chacarra +3500 (bet365)
The Asian Tour heads to North Africa this week with many of the backend LIV Golf players making a start.
These events have been hard to bet because there has been a clear talent gap when even the lesser golfers on that tour show up.
I'll take a chance of one of the young LIV Golf stars here in Eugenio Lopez-Chacarra. The 24-year-old got through U.S. Open qualifying and has two top 20s in his last three LIV Golf starts, so the game is solid right now for this level.
He also won the St. Andrews tournament on this tour last year and has a LIV Golf win under his belt in Bangkok. There's more than enough talent here to justify betting this price against this level of competition.
Other International Series Morocco Bets:
- Robin Williams +5000
- Jinichiro Kozuma +5000
Japan PGA Championship — Japan Golf Tour
Best Bet: Kohei Okada +8000 (bet365)
We'll wrap the week in Japan with one of the four majors on the JGTO.
I'm steering clear of the top part of the board and going with the 22-year-old rookie Kohei Okada.
He's one of the up-and-coming prospects out of Japan. Okada won the national amateur title in 2022 and has jumped out to a solid start on this tour in his rookie season with a fourth and eighth over his last four starts.
His amateur record in Japan holds its own, and with these young talents, it doesn't take long for them to show that they belong. Hopefully we can get a hit on him before the numbers drop too much.
Other Japan PGA Championship Bets:
- Tomoyo Ikemura +5500
