The PGA Tour heads to the John Deere Classic this week.
The John Deere has been notorious for being an off week for the game's biggest stars, especially as many make the trip across the pond to prepare for The Open Championship.
There are two favorites this week at +1400 odds at BetMGM: Denny McCarthy and Russell Henley. Henley is ranked No. 29 in the Official World Golf Rankings and McCarthy is No. 34.
Adam Hadwin, after losing in a playoff to Rickie Fowler last week, is the most popular bet of the week at BetMGM. Hadwin is getting 7.6% of the bets and accounts for 5.7% of the handle.
BetMGM's biggest liability this week is Eric Cole. He is getting 7% of the bets and accounts for 10% of the handle.
Adam Schenk, at +2800 odds, is another massive liability for BetMGM. He's getting 6.5% of the bets and 9.3% of the money.
Lucas Glover, who posted a top-five finish last week, is a considerable liability with 3.8% of the bets and 4.9% of the handle. Glover is +6600 to win the John Deere Classic.
There are a few players who appear to be getting some sharp action, one being PGA Tour rookie Ludvig Aberg. Aberg was in the mix after two days of the Rocket Mortgage last week, but wasn't able to close on the weekend. He's +2500 this week and getting 4.8% of the bets and 6.6% of the money.
Cameron Young is also worth keeping an eye on. After winning PGA Tour Rookie of the Year last season, Young has struggled in his sophomore season. However, sharps don't want to count him out against a weak field. He's getting 6.9% of the bets and accounts for 8.3% of the handle.
