The added element of weather has made for an interesting weekend at the Masters, just as we predicted.
A pile of rain Saturday suspended third-round play at Augusta National — and ultimately sidetracked the itinerary and TV schedule for Sunday and beyond.
The Masters Schedule Sunday
Augusta National announced the third round of the tournament will resume Sunday at 8:30 am ET.
CBS will air live coverage starting at that time, through the conclusion of the third round.
The fourth and final round is slated to start at 12:30 p.m. on the same network, with two-some pairings teeing off on holes No. 1 and 10.
Saturday's third round never really stood a chance as there was no less than an 88% chance of rain through the night.
If there's any caveat, Sunday's forecast is much more optimistic.
Weather at Augusta National on Sunday, April 9, is expected to feature cloudy conditions early before the sun breaks through. Also, precipitation isn't expected to be a factor, with just a 10% chance of rain.
Brooks Koepka is atop the leaderboard (-13) at the break. Jon Rahm (-9), Sam Bennett (-6), Viktor Hovland (-5) and Collin Morikawa (-5) round out the top five.
Koepka's odds to win the Masters were +4000 prior to the tournament.
Scottie Scheffler and Rory McIlroy, meanwhile, were co-favorites to win it at +650.
Tiger Woods etched his name in Masters history by making the cut, but a +6 score on Saturday pushed him to +9 overall.
The last time the Masters finished on a Monday was all the way back in 1983.
