The Outlook

More so than any other player, Watson needs to feel comfortable in order to contend. He requires comfort in both his use of sightlines off the tee – he hates not having good aiming points – and in his surroundings, which explains why he continually plays well at favorite tracks, such as Augusta National, Riviera and TPC River Highlands. We’ll know early on whether Bellerive fits that mold.

The Metrics

Here's how Watson ranks in the PGA Championship field in several key metrics. For many more, be sure to check out the FantasyLabs PGA Models.

  • Long-Term Adjusted Round Score: T-38th
  • Recent Adjusted Round Score: T-77th

  • Long-Term Driving Distance: 11th
  • Strokes Gained: Approach: 61st
