Well, that escalated quickly.
After the Americans swept the first day of the Presidents Cup, the Internationals went and returned the favor on Friday. Entering the weekend, we are knotted up at 5 apiece.

Presidents Cup Picks: Saturday Fourball
Matthew Gannon: Scheffler & Morikawa Over Scott & Pendrith (-138, bet365)
Day 2 was an absolute travesty for the United States of America. On day three, we have some big dogs going out early. Scheffler and Morikawa lead us off against Adam Scott and Taylor Pendrith. Scheffler and Morikawa obviously lost in round two but graded out fine statistically. I love what Furyk is doing by putting two of his best and most accomplished players out together early to both set the tone and get a point on the board. Look for Collin Morikawa and Scottie Scheffler to put up birdies in this format and get an early point on the board for Team USA in day three of the Presidents Cup.
Tony Sartori: Matsuyama & Im Over Burns & Cantlay (+120, bet365)
The International Team stormed back on Friday in shocking fashion, and all of a sudden we have ourselves a golf tournament. While I’m still dubious on the Internationals’ chances, I do think that the Matsuyama and Im pairing will take care of business once again.
They slaughtered Schauffele and Cantlay 8&6 on Friday, and with all due respect to Burns, he is a big step down from Xander. This International pairing was the best from any of the 10 on Friday, gaining a combined 5.56 total true strokes.
This course also rewards accuracy, which is the one inconsistency for Burns off the tee. The line is baking in the large public backing of America, and while I think they will bounce back on Saturday, I don’t think It will be in this pairing.
